体育场于1994年6月开放，地面可容纳2万人，但看台的座位只有1000人。[2] The record attendance for a sporting event is 12,000.[3]

这座体育场号称是世界杯资格赛历史上得分最高的比赛场地，在国际足联世界杯记录中占有一席之地。它主办了2001年4月11日澳大利亚队以31比0击败美属萨摩亚队的比赛。

北海岸足球队在科夫斯港國際體育場进行了35多场比赛和决赛。

该体育场定期举办NRL的选拔赛，以前还举办过由新南威尔士蓝军参加的ING杯板球比赛。在过去的两年里，它主办了FFA全国青年锦标赛。

这座体育场主办了2007年和2013年的澳大利亚城市与乡村橄榄球联赛。
