世界撲克大賽（World Series of Poker，簡稱WSOP）是世界上具有重要影響力的撲克錦標賽[2]，每年在美國拉斯維加斯舉辦，2005年起由哈拉斯娛樂（Harrah's Entertainment）贊助。此項賽事的起源可以追溯到1970年，當時奔尼·比尼恩（Benny Binion）邀請了六位知名撲克選手在馬蹄鐵賭場（Binion's Horseshoe Casino）舉辦了第一屆比賽，當時的冠軍是由投票選出的。[3]
世界撲克大賽中每一項賽事的勝利者被將獲得一隻金手鐲以及一份現金獎金。經過多年的發展，大賽的賽事數以及參賽選手數都不斷壯大。每年世界撲克大賽都會舉辦10000美金無限下注德州撲克主賽事（$10,000 no-limit hold'em Main Event），此項賽事自2004年起吸引了數千位參賽者。勝利者會獲得數百萬美元的獎金，這也是撲克選手能獲得的最高獎勵。[4]主賽事的贏家通常被看作是撲克世界冠軍。[5]
自2009年起，世界撲克大賽包括了57項賽事，基本涵蓋了各種撲克玩法變體，其中近些年來有過半賽事是德州撲克的變體。這些賽事傳統上都在6月或7月中的一天或連續幾天內舉辦。不過從2008年開始，主賽事決勝桌（final table）改為11月舉辦。
