: Thank you for informing me about that article, it looks wonderful. 😊 As of now I am de facto "done" with writing about Chinese cash coins, Chinese charms, Chinese amulets, and Chinese talismans on the English-language Wikipedia to the point that I’ve exploited basically every English-language source at full potential so whomever would want to expand on it would either have to wait for new books (translations) or use Chinese sources(, directly), so now I’m concentrating about writing about chopmarked silver coins and silver ingots (sycees) during the Manchu Qing Dynasty on the English-language Wikipedia. After that I might try to write about the Zhou Dynasty coinages a bit more (though I still want to write ✍🏻 about the gold taels of the Manchu Empire / Qing Dynasty). I’ve run out of both websites and books 📚 to import information from so I’ll be mostly focusing on importing images to Wikimedia Commons, and though I am writing about silver coins and sycees (silver ingots) now there actually aren’t much images of those on Wikimedia Commons. Anyhow the article you wrote will be of great value, and the wealth of Zhou Dynasty era coinage articles you wrote too.

Bridge Money and Halberd Money

A specimen of Bridge 🌉 Money 💴.

Hello 👋🏻 Baomi,

I've been trying to find information about both Bridge Money and Halberd Money, but as I mostly collect cast Chinese coinages from the Kaiyuan Tongbao (開元通寶) and later I don't really have any reference works that cover them. Scott Semand wrote this on his website "The I pi, ant nose, or imitation cowrie monies of Chu State were used from the 8th-3rd c. BC, thus contemporary with the oldest knife and spade monies. Apparently they were controversial in Schjoth's day as he did not include them in his coinage section. Halberd money, also known as Ko money, Ge, or Je, is a small, fragile imitation of a weapon combining an ax with a spear, used in.Wu State during Spring & Autumn Annal (c.526-476 BC). Although only recently discovered, they are widely accepted by Chinese archaeologists as money due to an apparent size/denominational structure, and where they are placed in burials. Bridge Money have now been dated to c. 306-221BC and are accepted by many - but not all - Chinese numismatists as actual coins of Ba and Shu States." (text released under the Creative Commons-BY-SA 3.0 Unported license), I know that you wrote an article about Ant-nose Money at the English-language Wikipedia, however I can't seem to find any information about Bridge Money and/or Halberd Money, would you be interested in ever writing ✍🏻 about them in the future 🔮?
