游戏玩法

新的击球系统。

《全民高爾夫5》引入了“三击”击球系统的修改版本。不同于以往完全用底部的计量器来估算击球的强度和斜击程度的算法，新系统鼓励使用真实角色的高尔夫挥击来选择力量。一旦决定了击球力量，计量器将会消失，击球的准确度将取决于用击棍击球时玩家对时机的把握。

遊戲開始時，玩家只會擁有兩名角色、一個球童和遊戲場地，隨著遊戲的進行和關卡的推進，可以解鎖15個角色、7個球童和6個球場[6]。知名高爾夫球選手丸山茂树（日语：丸山茂樹）最為可用角色登場於遊戲中[7]。

游戏包括经典的故事模式以及挑战模式。在挑战模式中，您可以参加各种锦标赛，与其他由电脑控制的选手相对抗，以便提升等级并解锁各种项目。

游戏的画面素质较之前作大幅提高，几乎每个视觉对象都变得更加详细、生动。

2008年5月15日，两个附加角色雪乃和葛羅莉亞被公布[8][9][註 3]。6月19日公布新賽道大洋洲度假球場（Oceania Resort Course）[10][11]，《全民高爾夫5》還和其他遊戲合作，玩家可以透過DLC獲得《战神》系列中的角色克雷多斯（英语：Kratos (God of War)）[12]、《小小大星球》中的麻布娃娃成为可用的高尔夫选手[13]。
