辛格

辛格(英語：Singh，(IPA: /ˈsɪŋ/)，是一個源自印度次大陸的頭銜或名字，為梵語中「獅子」的意思，也常常被印度的武士用為頭銜^[1]。16世紀時期，辛格成為拉傑普特人中的常用姓名^[2]。錫克教於1699年，按照戈賓德·辛格的意見採用了辛格這一名字，所有正式的錫克教男性教徒不考慮地域或文化的約束，都要使用辛格的名字，所有錫克教的女性教徒使用考爾的名字，意思是「公主」^[3]^[4]。
