紐約州立大學（State University of New York，簡稱 SUNY）是紐約州的一個由多家大學組成的高等教育系統，不是一家獨立的大學，其總部位於紐約州的首府阿爾巴尼 (Albany)。紐約州立大學是全球最龐大的高等教育系統，整個體制由64所學府組成，共有學生近424,000人。在64所學府中有19所是四年制大學，而其中的 紐約州立大學奧爾巴尼分校、賓漢頓大學、紐約州立大學水牛城分校、石溪大學等四校被指定為紐約州立大學系統中的四個旗艦大學中心。

爭議
2013年，該校科技學院（SUNY-IT）涉嫌歧視華人教授，在教授向校方舉報同事逼迫其要將名字強加入華人教授所寫論文中一事後被校方報復解僱，後經法院判決歧視成立。[67][68]
