The Tianshun era was the Chinese era used by the Emperor Yingzong, the sixth emperor of China's Ming dynasty, during his second reign, from 15 February 1457 (Template:Zhi; '21st day of the 1st month of the 1st year of the Tianshun era') until his death on 23 February 1464 (Template:Zhi; '17th day of the 1st month of the 8th year of the Tianshun era'). On 11 February 1457 (Template:Zhi; '17th day of the 1st month of the 8th year of the Jingtai era'), Emperor Yingzong was restored to the throne, and on 15 February the same year, the era was changed to the Tianshun era.[1] On 23 February 1464, the Chenghua Emperor ascended the throne and continued to use the era until 26 January 1465 (Template:Zhi; '29th day of the 12th month of the 8th year of the Tianshun era'). The following day, 27 January 1465 (Template:Zhi; '1st day of the 1st month of the 1st year of the Chenghua era'), the era was changed to the Chenghua era.[2][3]
The Tianshun era was also used by King Sejo of Joseon,[4][a] as well as by Kings Shō Taikyū and Shō Toku of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
