Ashfaq Munshi began his career at [[Oracle Corporation]] where he was director of development and marketing. Later, Ashfaq served as the vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at [[SGI]] and as a corporate vice president at [[Applied Materials]], where he was responsible for software and automation.

(now Upsight, Inc.) and has served as an advisor to a variety of startups. He was also on the Dean's Leadership Council for the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
