Blocking
I apparently share an IP address with 220.245.178.141 which I understand is a shared IP address for ISP provider TPG. I am often blocked as a result but am happy that Wikipedia needs to be protected from vandalism.

I've formed a WikiProject dedicated to the improvement of Kirby articles. If you're interested in participating, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Kirby's Dream Land. == Date formats ==

Regarding your edits at Brendan Nelson, the standard Australian date format is date followed by month by year and this is the format used in Australian articles. Further, WP:STYLE#Dates says that commas are not used between the month and year. Accordingly, and as you expected, the dates have been changed back to what they were. An image that you uploaded, : Image:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. ==Disputed fair use rationale for Image:1990s CD based encyclopedias.jpg}==
Thank you for uploading :Image:1990s CD based encyclopedias.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:
:* That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
:* That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 16:40, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was <code>true</code>. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to <code>false</code> in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:24, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, 1dragon, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or place helpme on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!  The curate's egg 15:09, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Cheat codes

[edit]

The Computer and Video Games WikiProject advises against putting cheat codes in game articles, unless they are famous enough to have their own article. That kind of information is more suitable for Wikibooks. Spottedowl 16:37, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Star Destroyer

[edit]

The Dreadnought-class heavy cruiser is a 600 m long ship, Star Dreadnoughts are ship much bigger than ISD like, the Executor, the Eclipse, the Sovereign or Mandator classes please stop changing the link. Elfwood 13:57, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies. I had changed the link as "dreadnaught" redirects to "dreadnought" which is itself a disambiguation page for a number of articles, only one of which refers to a Star Wars related article.

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request

[edit]

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I may have found your page based on your contributions or your link repair user box on your user page. If you are not a member, please consider including your name on the project page. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 23:12, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Date formats

[edit]

Regarding your edits at Brendan Nelson, the standard Australian date format is date followed by month by year and this is the format used in Australian articles. Further, WP:STYLE#Dates says that commas are not used between the month and year. Accordingly, and as you expected, the dates have been changed back to what they were. An image that you uploaded, Image:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Copyright problems because it is a suspected copyright violation. Please look there if you know that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), and then provide the necessary information there and on its page, if you are interested in it not being deleted. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:1990s CD based encyclopedias.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:1990s CD based encyclopedias.jpg.

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Possibly unfree Image:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg

[edit]

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. I have nominated Mimi Macpherson, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mimi Macpherson. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Orphaned non-free image File:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Pokemon card game in progress.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

 • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
 • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
 • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:24, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Isogram, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Flashpoint (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
