Mr. Munshi holds a bachelors degree in physics and applied mathematics from [[Harvard University]]. He also performed his graduate studies in business at the [[Stanford Executive Program]] and graduate studies in [[computer science]] at [[Brown University]] and the [[University of California at Santa Cruz]].

==Career==
Ashfaq Munshi has a unique mix of 20 years of entrepreneurship, engineering, marketing, and management experience. He has founded four [[Silicon Valley]] companies: Radiance, Vivecon, SpecialtyMD (acquired by Ventro), and Commerce Engine (became [[Ariba]]). Earlier in his career, he served as a corporate vice president at [[Applied Materials]], where he was responsible for software and automation. Prior to Applied Materials, Ashfaq was vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Business Unit at [[SGI]]. He began his executive career at [[Oracle Corporation]] where he was director of development and marketing. Ashfaq currently serves as an advisor to Transitive Corporation and is on the Dean's Leadership Council for the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at [[Harvard University]].

(now Upsight, Inc.) and has served as an advisor to a variety of startups. He was also on the Dean's Leadership Council for the Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
