Venafro is a medium-sized town on the South of Italy, in the province of Isernia, region of Molise. It has a population of around 12,000, having expanded quickly in the post-war period; it's known for its roman ruins, samnite fortifications, and for its high-quality olive oil production.

Venafro is the main gateway for the molise region, since it's crossed by the SS 85 "Venafrana" route.
