== Mangling the list structure on talk pages == |
|||
Please do not ever do [https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_(television)&curid=255554&diff=1194719682&oldid=1194593630 this]. It is against [[Help:Talk pages#Indentation]], and [[Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines#Good practices for talk pages]], and [[Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility#Vertical lists]]. If someone post was a
****
line, then your reply is
*****
, or
****:
if you don't want it to have a bullet. If the post before your reply had
*::*:*:
, then your reply starts with
*::*:*::
or
*::*:*:*
if you want it to have a bullet. This is very simple: you just copy the format of what you are replying to, and add either {{em|one}}
:
or {{em|one}}
*
. We avoid bullets when there isn't a conventionalized expectation for them (e.g. in an RfC's polling section). — [[User:SMcCandlish|'''SMcCandlish''']] [[User talk:SMcCandlish|☏]] [[Special:Contributions/SMcCandlish|¢]] 😼 04:35, 13 January 2024 (UTC) |
