The file :File:Stothard pilgrims.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
<blockquote>Missing clear and verifiable source information, redundant to the sourced :File:Thomas Stothard Canterbury Pilgrims 318 x 952 mm.jpg</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated files notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated files will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> mattbr 10:39, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Obituary: Dr Paul Barlow

The Million Award
This is unfortunately posthumously conferred. Paul's contribution in bringing the William Shakespeare (estimated annual readership: 4,550,000) to Featured Article status was indispensable, and therefore I think it due, in order to express our deep appreciation for his seminal input in what has become a widely read article of the highest quality, that we register here his earned right to the Million Award, as a token of the influence his labour in the wiki fields will exercise on a global readership. Paul Barlow on Google Scholar

I thought this might be useful for those interested in the Pre-Raphaelites, a topic about which Paul Barlow wrote a lot & for which he was often cited. I believe that he also wrote of other artists who were contemporaries of that school as well.
