The Synagogue of Chechelnyk, late 18th century

Chechelnyk is a town in the Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine (before Russian Revolution in the Podolia Gubernia of Russian Empire), near Odessa Oblast.

The Jewish Brazilian modernist writer Clarice Lispector was born in the town on December 10, 1920.
