History

• January 17, 1952: Established as the Apostolic Prefecture of Kashmir and Jammu from the Diocese of Lahore and Diocese of Rawalpindi
• May 4, 1968: Renamed as Apostolic Prefecture of Jammu and Kashmir
• March 10, 1986: Promoted as Diocese of Jammu – Srinagar
