Kudymkarsky District (Template:Lang-ru) is an administrative district (raion) of Komi-Permyak Okrug of Perm Krai, Russia; one of the thirty-three in the krai. Municipally, it is incorporated as Kudymkarsky Municipal District. Its administrative center is the town of Kudymkar[1] (which is not administratively a part of the district). District's population: 29,528 (2002 Census);[3] 35,392 (1989 Soviet census).[4]

Geography

District’s area is 4,700 km². Main rivers that flows through district include Inva River, Kuva River and Velva River.

History

The district was created February 27, 1925.

Population

According 2010 census population of district is 27,363. Ethnic composition: Komi-permyak people: 85.3%; Russian people: 13%.

Economy

District’s economy based on forestry, timber industry and agriculture.
