The Vinh Xuan massacre was a massacre conducted by the South Korean forces on the morning of May 22, 1967, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 unarmed citizens in Vinh Xuan village, Phu Yen province in South Vietnam.[1] The district was included in the operational area of the Green Dragon, Strong Tiger and White Horse.[1] They used threats of violence and military force in order to move Binh Dinh, Quang Ngai and Phu Yen province peasants beyond the reach and influence of the Viet Cong.[1] Those areas' villagers consisted mostly of old men, women and children who refused to leave; subsequently, they were cruelly and systematically killed.[1]
