The Vinh Xuan massacre was a massacre conducted by South Korean forces on the morning of April 1, 1967, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 unarmed citizens in Vinh Xuan village, Phú Yên Province in South Vietnam.[1] The district was included in the operational area of the Green Dragon, Strong Tiger and White Horse.[1] They used threats of violence and military force in order to move Bình Định, Quảng Ngãi and Phú Yên Province peasants beyond the reach and influence of the Viet Cong.[1] Those areas' villagers consisted mostly of old men, women and children who refused to leave; subsequently, they were cruelly and systematically killed.[1]
