plan b reference removed from adaadat page
thanks for helping with the article, hhowever i'm struggling see how the plan b reference could be considered unreliable. plan b magazine was a well known internationally distributed music magazine - http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2009/jun/04/plan-b-magazine-remembered the author frances morgan is a well known music journalist and publisher of the magazine - http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/frances-morgan/23/214/50 and finally the last third of the article features an interview with adaadat founder angus keith talking about the label.
thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 10:06, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Bioruhaileskou the reference http://www.adaadat.co.uk/romvelope/img/planb.gif can not be used to support a claim about reputation because it is self-published by adaadat. It isn't independent Flat Out let's discuss it 10:10, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
hi, i think i understand now, i should have used Cite journal instead of Cite web in the reference. by "self-published" are you referring to the fact that the scan of the article is hosted on the adaadat website? obviously the original version was published in the magazine.
Thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 11:14, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
I just redid the reference, i found an impartial third party source for the url and i changed the citation from web to journal. Is this ok now? thanks Bioruhaileskou (talk) 13:49, 25 December 2013 (UTC)
Hi Flat Out - this is actually a bit of an odd case. A lot of that page is from a deleted page Gabriel Oyibo, which has been re-created off-site here. I think that most of the rest of it is from http://gagutofappit.org/ itself, rather than from the forum (which copied it from there). Gotta duck out now - cycle to the shops before the Cricket finishes - but I'll come back and have a look at it. Pete aka --Flat Out let's discuss it 06:26, 26 December 2013 (UTC)
- Weird. I think the URL was triggering some spam filter or whacky website blacklist or something like that. Anyway, it's speedily deletable under any number of criteria.--Shirt58 (talk) 07:42, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

A brownie for you!
Since we don't have a WikiLove Aussie food I thought I might go with something safe and chocolate. It's always good to have other Australians working on Wikipedia, and I've seen your username around the place recently working well. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 10:30, 26 December 2013 (UTC) |
- Thanks Callanecc.. I started here in March but have just come back after taking a short break. Thanks for the chocolate! Flat Out let's discuss it 10:35, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Good faith editing
For the record, I called myself "facetious", not you . . . and I have partially restored my edit to Allen Stanford. I would have appreciated a reply to my comment here rather a wholesale deletion. I appreciate your welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your BLP review. I am certain my edit satisfies its requirements. Thank you. — GeeIsUs. (talk) 11:14, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- If you expect a response from me here, then I suggest you alter your approach. As I commented on your talk page, WP:BLP applies to all mentioned living persons not just the subject of the article. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:17, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Biddenham dovecote
I wondered what the problem was with the above page? It is part of a series of new pages about Biddenham village pond, the Friends of the Pond and the dovecote that once stood by it. I'm new to Wikipedia so would be grateful for your advice as I would like to retain the page. And haven't used the Talk facility before so I hope this gets to you. Thank you. Fotbvp (talk) 11:21, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Fotbvp and welcome to Wikipedia. The article needs to be supported by reliable sources that support the subject's notability. Nevermind about retaining the article as my nomination was not upheld. I will do my best to help you improve the article and feel free to ask me for help anytime. Best wishes Flat Out let's discuss it 11:26, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you. I can add some book references that have been written about the village to support the information. I have I suppose been building up the new pages bit by bit, learning as I go along! So will look at refining them. I still have to fathom out how to add photos that fit and don't swamp a page! Best wishes Fotbvp (talk) 11:34, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- Yes if you can support each statement with a reference it will help the article survive a future nomination for deletion. Flat Out let's discuss it 11:36, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Blackadder (named data networking)
Hello Flat Out. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Blackadder (named data networking), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Software is not eligible for A7. Thank you. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 11:24, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Inappropriate deletion
How did you delete the links provided in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohan_Rakesh page? Did you check the Talk section? After a 3rd opinion from an independent reviewer the links were kept. why did you delete it? Did you discuss with the person who provided his opinion as the 3rd Opinion? — Preceding unsigned comment added by DipanjanMADPLAYHOUSE (talk • contribs) 15:35, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
- It is a spam link and has since been removed by three other editors. Flat Out let's discuss it 02:23, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

- Hi Markimatix, I read it, the problem is you have no reliable sources to support your edits. Wikipedia can never be used as as a reference. See WP:RS Flat Out let's discuss it 09:36, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

My edits remove the so-called optional /r/, because it is not identified as optional in any way. I suggest that /(r)/ would better flag its optional status, if it truly must be included.
Some may think it acceptable with common nouns to require the reader to understand that arhotic dialects are likely to omit the /r/ in such a location, but the same cannot be relied upon with proper nouns. Hence, if no variant is to be shown, omission of the /r/ is preferable (especially as the native pronunciation lacks the /r/). Ideally, the two variants should be shown - or a device (such as /(r)/, as above) be employed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.57.23.132 (talk) 09:38, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- Hi (there, editing at wikipedia must be achieved by consensus. You can't force your view on other editors by simply reinserting the change that has been rejected, you need to make your case at the article's talk page. Best wishes Flat Out let's discuss it 09:41, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Its a digital only release for FANS. How can I expect to get sourced articles? As there has been no "Official release" via digital distribution channels yet... Is a mention in the Size 14 Amazon Bio ok?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Hellotheragain1979 (talk • contribs) 10:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
- If it hasn't been released then it isn't notable enough for an article. Flat Out let's discuss it 10:45, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Your response about M.A.D Playhouse Article
Hi There, As per the policy those are reliable Third-Party reports and can be considered as reliable resources. Please let me know as per the policy which part is not reliable and I will need your complete details so that the respective companies can contact you directly.--Krazywriter (talk) 06:23, 29 December 2013 (UTC): Also how do you ask someone like "do not reinstate"? where you failed to answer any of my questions on the article talk page earlier. Please try to keep calm and respond with facts. --Krazywriter (talk) 06:27, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

- I only rv'd my panicking message to OM and the miscreant's modifications of it.[1]. Figured there wasn't any need any more to trouble OM with it, since the user is now blocked. I didn't specifically mention SPI in the post I reverted on OM's page (only in the content of the circumstances that led to the war). Didn't revert any edit of yours, did I?
