06:58:14, 6 September 2019 review of submission by Tommylagestam

Hi. I am requesting a re-review of this as it's a misinterpretation that B-Reel is the "parent company" of B-Reel Films. B-Reel Films (BRF) is an independent film and production studio. B-Reel is a creative (advertising) agency. B-Reel is in no way involved in B-Reel Film's notable work like the film Midsommar, the documentary about Greta Thunberg and the Alicia Vikander feature film Euphoria. Those are B-Reel Films (BRF) productions.

Wikipedia allows separate articles for advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and M&C Saatchi, even though they are intricately linked. B-Reel and B-Reel Films (BRF) are similarly separate entities. With world famous productions like those aforementioned, it is surprising why B-Reel Films (BRF) would not be considered notable.

May i ask you why you decide that page is advertisement? I want only inform about company here based on other services here like: monday.com trello etc. what is difference ? and why monday and trello are ok ?

Sajacz (talk) 07:01, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sajacz: - so it was rejected on notability grounds because the only source it had came from the company itself. It also has a marketing tone, "Thanks to this overview", "saving you both time and work" etc. Normally I'd refer you to WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS, which explains why you can't use one source being allowed/disallowed to justify another. However, Trello has over a dozen sources and is laid out neutrally. Nosebagbear (talk) 13:58, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Sajacz: I've tagged the page for Speedy deletion. You may want to review WP:INDEPENDENT WP:RS and WP:PUFFERY. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 05:27, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

07:44:39, 6 September 2019 review of submission by Purple anka

Hi! My draft is declined due to being "not properly referenced by independent sources". I did add references, but they're all in the Ukrainian language. Am I only allowed to reference English-language sources when the Wiki article is in English? I was just trying to create an English copy of the existing article about a music band in Ukraine. Thanks for any tips! Purple anka (talk) 07:44, 6 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Purple anka: - hi there. Ukrainian (or Russia etc) sources are fine - google translate does a reasonable job these days. Running through the sources, they generally aren't sufficient to prove notability for two reasons. Some aren't independent, as they are either directly from the band, or are interviews (where all the answers come from the band). Others aren't really in depth, with only a couple of lines on Karna. 08:29:09, 6 September 2019 review of draft by Indigenus~enwiki

Hello, I have been advised that the multiple references for the draft article do not meet the criteria for notability. This is quite confusing, as the following references are multiple, and apparently meet the defined criteria for significant coverage in independent, reliable and secondary sources. Please see below:

1. Coverage in BloombergQuint.com, a prominent financial news portal formed as partnership between Bloomberg and Quintillion media (reference: https://www.bloomberg.com/company/press/bloomberg-forms-new-partnership-with-quintillion-media-in-india/). Coverage link: https://www.bloombergquint.com/business/startup-street-this-startup-says-it-can-nearly-wipe-out-your-electricity-bill

2. Coverage in ETEnergyworld.com, a part of The Economic Times, India's largest English financial daily, that focuses on energy news. Coverage link: https://energy.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/renewable/we-will-achieve-rs-100-cr-annual-revenue-this-financial-year-pranesh-chaudhary-founder-zunroof/70024921

3. Coverage in The Hindu Businessline, a leading, highly-credible financial daily in India. Coverage link: https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/specials/clean-tech/lighting-up-your-home-right-from-the-roof/article27198508.ece

4. Coverage in CNBC-TV18, a leading financial news channel (an India-specific venture of CNBC), link: https://www.cnbctv18.com/young-turks/young-turks-troubled-with-high-electricity-bills-heres-how-zunroof-can-solve-your-problems-3828671.htm

5. Coverage in Moneycontrol.com, a prominent financial and business news portal owned by Network 18, a leading media company of India. Link: https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/this-startups-solar-power-solutions-is-making-indian-homes-green-and-future-ready-3971841.html

I feel that Zunroof meets the criteria for notability - however I am happy to take feedback from other editors.

KeitaStudio (talk) 14:15, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Thsmi002, Thank You for feedback. Please can You tell me how can I do to resolve this problem that You wrote me? I would like to know how can I do to give significant coverage in the submitted content. The actress is present in the Internet Movie Database and in the cast of the tv series: Commissioner Manara (2011, Davide Marengo, Luca Ribuoli), The Young Montalbano (2015, Gianluca Maria Tavarelli). Let me know, thank You

Hi KeitaStudio. IMDb is user-generated, so it is not a reliable source. Mymovies.it is reliable, but indiscriminate. It aims to cover all of Italian cinema, so it doesn't help demonstrate notability. Google searches don't return independent, reliable, secondary sources containing significant coverage of Rogati, only primary source interviews with little or no analysis by the interviewer, tabloid and blog coverage, and trivial mentions. Revisit the topic in a few years, by which time more may have been written about Rogati in independent reliable sources. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:59, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

16:53:06, 7 September 2019 review of submission by RobHewes

I am a first time publisher, and although my page seems to have plenty of references, it has been declined for not being adequately supported by reliable sources. I'm unsure what more I need to do. RobHewes (talk) 16:53, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@RobHewes: - hi there. Sources showing notability need to be secondary, independent, reliable and in-depth. The large majority of your sources come from the club itself and so aren't secondary. The other big group are from southern athletic and only contain a league table - which isn't sufficient for Significant Coverage. Sources don't "stack", so 10 league tables in different sources don't show in-depth coverage. Nosebagbear (talk) 22:21, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

13:16:48, 8 September 2019 review of submission by Aghiadhokan

I have noted that other software published wikipedia pages cite the official website as a reference, I have also put some additional references and the official Youtube channel of this application in order to directly refer to its features. The information is also generic and can be tested and proved by anyone who visits the official website, and download and test the application. Aghiadhokan (talk) 13:16, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Aghiadhokan:, while a link to the company's site should generally be included, it doesn't provide anything to showing notability. All the sources here are either non-independent (they're linked to vimert) and/or non-reliable (such as a wiki or youtube). As a product, it needs to meet the same higher notability guidelines as a company. Nosebagbear (talk) 16:22, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Timon Stathakis (talk) 08:45, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Timon Stathakis: - I rejected this draft as no independent/reliable sources contained any info on him, and a look elsewhere didn't indicate that any other such sources existed. I don't believe any degree of editing can fix this - he just doesn't appear notable, by wiki standards (yet) Nosebagbear (talk) 10:18, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

11:19:30, 9 September 2019 review of submission by CJLewis1990

Good Afternoon,

I understand & accept you have certain criteria for English football clubs however I would like to appeal for a re-review in this instance.

I am a senior volunteer for the club and everything about the way the club is set up and is being run is professional. There are some key personnel involved with Wakefield AFC which is owned by FBT Sports. As you will see from the references provided, former Manchester United player Chris Turner is currently the Coach & Director of Football. Having a Wikipedia page is seen by all involved as a key part of our plans going forward. The page I have set up initially may lack in depth information however this will be frequently updated as the club progresses.

If you could re-review this I would be highly appreciative.

CJLewis1990 (talk) 11:19, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that in Wikipedia terms the club is not notable and Wikipedia has no interest in your "plans going forward" it is not a venue for promotion of any kind. Theroadislong (talk) 12:22, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

15:54:18, 9 September 2019 review of submission by JamesRodir

Hello helpers, could you please describe why do you think the company is not notable enough or where the sources are weak and nonreliable? I have read WP:NCORP and I found that the sources I added are independent of the subject and the company has more than 1 million customers which I believe is a lot. They have been mentioned by the NY times, business insider, mastercard newsroom and a bunch of other press. They have a important partnership with Mastercard and even the Canada Revenue Agency allowed canadians to use Plastiq to pay taxes. And there is for example Cash App a mobile payment service with the same type of sources and I do not see how are they more notable. I appreciate your reply

JamesRodir (talk) 15:54, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The sources need to cover the company in-depth as far as I can see you have a lot of passing mentions, press releases and blogs none of which are sufficient to establish notability. The fact that other stuff exists is irrelevant. Theroadislong (talk) 16:39, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong: I know its irrelevant but what I meant is that if they are live we as editors can use it as example. thats my logic there. Most of the articles are about plastiq and its services there are some that just mention the company but they help stablish notability I think. Take for example this one https://www.businessinsider.com/is-plastiq-app-worth-it-safe-2018-6 or https://www.pymnts.com/news/b2b-payments/2018/plastiq-commercial-cards-electronic/ aren't these reliable sources? I need a little more insight because I still do not get why wouldn't Plastiq be notable enough for the encyclopedia. Its a company with many clients, press, great partnerships, and there are more than 70 results of Plastiq in google news, this has to count for something. 17:35:25, 9 September 2019 review of submission by Dancemaven

Hi there, I am requesting assistance because eight weeks have now passed since the Draft was submitted. Is there any way to expedite a review, or, at least to request that this draft receive some attention? Many thanks.

Dancemaven (talk) 17:35, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dancemaven: - due to the major backlog, the oldest of our drafts have been in the queue for twice that length. Most reviewers don't specifically target requested drafts, so a degree of patience will be required.
It's not required, but it might be worth seeing if you can get hyperlinks to the online versions of some of your more recent sources.
Particularly focus (sources and content) on the individual himself - it's not a combained Hollander/company article, so while obviously it will include content on that, it doesn't need a detailed run through of the company/studio's actions Nosebagbear (talk) 18:28, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Weinberg" meets the Wikipedia standard for 'neutral point of view'. Also, I would appreciate confirmation if the subject of this draft article meets the Wikipedia standard for 'notability'. This draft article was first submitted for review on 9 May 2019. I've made changes to the text in response to a reviewer's comment to create a more neutral point of view. Are any further changes recommended? Thank-you, Chamberednautilus[reply]

13:02:56, 10 September 2019 review of submission by Rbiddis1

I'd like to be able to edit my wiki page and have it reviewed again. I have re-written the article to focus solely on Troublemaker (Band). I have also added several more references and items to show notability of the band. Please advise on how to move forward with my project. Thanks for your time and your help.

Rbiddis1 (talk) 13:02, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rbiddis1. Rejection is intended to be final, to convey that the topic (not just the current draft) is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). No amount of editing can fix that problem, so volunteers do not intend to review the draft again. If you have no conflict of interest with regard to the subject, then Articles for creation is an optional process for you, you may write directly at Troublemaker (band).
The reviewer's expert opinion is that if you do, the article will be deleted, and I concur. Sound Bites News, Houston Music News (which is a copy of Sound Bites News, so there's no point citing it), and Metal Maidens are primary source interviews where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, a type of source explicitly excluded from those that can demonstrate notabiliy. The Bash is a capsule history provided by the band. Like the interviews, it is not independent. CDbaby.com is a reliable source for the existence of a recording, but existence of a recording doesn't make a band notable. And Reverbnation is a marketing platform, not a reliable source. Novice editors are commonly advised to cite at least three indpendent, reliable, secondary sources that contain significant coverage of their topic. The draft cites no such sources. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:07, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

14:06:23, 10 September 2019 review of draft by Parinthacker

The page that I have requested for creation was rejected. I have since then made appropriate changes to bring it in line with Wikipedia policies and standards. The submission is pending for more than 2 months now. Can I please get some help in this matter?

Parinthacker (talk) 14:06, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Parinthacker. When you posted your question, you were presented with a large pink box that said, among other things: "If you are waiting for a reviewer to review your draft, please be patient, as drafts are reviewed in no specific order. The reviewing process currently has a 2+ months backlog, with 4,469 pending submissions waiting for review. Please do not ask for a reviewer to tell you the status of your draft or to review it faster." One part of that might be unclear. "2+ months" is currently "5 months". So you can anticipate a review around the first week of December. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:40, 10 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I tried to post the article "DoULike", but it was declined because it looks like an advertisement. So now, I would like to know what exactly seems in my text like advertisement. I'd like to improve it, but don't know in what way. I tried to use only facts and all reference sources that I have. Maybe you could help me and focus on what I need to change or in what parts I need to use additional references. Thanks, Tony

"ALL aspects of the draft read like an advert, "targeting the needs of a multi-national audience" "the platform became more popular" "model is dependent on several essentials: advertisement featured on the website and premium subscriptions on top of the free usage model." "present in social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram"etc, etc. etc. Theroadislong (talk) 15:05, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Abhayjaxen73: Assuming this formatted properly, it still wouldn't be a suitable encyclopedic article. If nothing else, because it doesn't assert a reason as to why you are notable (by wiki standards, that is). It would also need multiple reliable, independent, secondary sources. Please have a read of why we discourage autobiographies. Nosebagbear (talk) 16:40, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,

I think my page should be allowed to be on wikipedia as I am a very notable person (not famous) but notable in Dubai, especially amongst all the schools. I have 1400 instagram followers which doesn't sound like alot but all of them are mainly from Dubai and the school students all know me. I think I should have this page even if it is for a short amount of time as I am doing it for a school project + personal interest.

Please do allow it.

18:59:14, 11 September 2019 review of draft by Wcg98

The page created provides more detail on the product CodeSonar mentioned on the GrammaTech page. Other static analysis products such as Polyspace, Coverity, Klocwork have similar pages. In fact, the page List of tools for static code analysis includes CodeSonar yet the link to the product is conspicuous by its absence.

What else is needed to prove this product is "notable."

Wcg98 (talk) 18:59, 11 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Wcg98: - currently there is only one reliable, independent, secondary source - it needs at least 2 and preferably 3. While it's worth reading WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS which shows why the existence of one article doesn't support another, however those articles do include more suitable sources. Thank you for the feedback. I understand the comment to include this information in the entry on Yohanan Petrovsky Shtern. However, when I originally did that, several weeks ago, my efforts were repeatedly erased by someone who I think must be a troll of some sorts because no credible answer was given for erasing the information, which is well substantiated by independent sources. Can you help please? Yes, I'd like to enter this information in that entry for Yohanan Petrovsky Shtern. Thank you.

By the way, here's what I plan to state: "I'm a writer involved in the health insurance industry, but am not being paid for my Wiki article and I am not affiliated with healthinsurance.org or their partners. Is there somewhere I can note this formally?"
