Edit comments
Hi, I saw you made a series of edits to Cirth. However, you omitted to explain any of them with edit comments. Even a brief remark like "rm stray punctuation" would be helpful to other editors, and is a common practice here. It'd be much appreciated if you could comment your edits in future. Many thanks, Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:58, 22 July 2020 (UTC)

The Grand Tour (TV series)

The use of notes is not "idiotic", as you claimed in this inappropriate edit summary. As well as being a violation of MOS:BOLD, the use of bold to identify cars presents an accessibility issue. Some screen readers will be unable to parse the bold text and vision impaired readers will see a note that says "Entries in bold were tested on-screen", but they won't know which cars are in bold. Use of notes is far preferable for this reason. Wikipedia has to be readable by all readers, not just those with 20:20 vision. --AussieLegend () 18:15, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RE Lost in Space (2018 TV Series) - October 7 2018

Thank you for critiquing my updates on the article and I will work to improve it to an acceptable Wikipedia standard. I am new to Wikipedia's encyclopedic style and will learn as I go. However, can I request that you make references to the passages you are commenting on, on the articles talk page. Could you also, where practical, provide links to articles you feel reflect the style that is correct. I am intending to be prominent in my wiki writing so am embracing the learning opportunities. Moves

Next time you move an article never do a copypaste move like you did with The Fall of Gondolin, you should never do that, use the correct move procedures. Also, next time tell people when you move something in your edit summary, otherwise how the hell is anyone supposed to know you've moved it?★Trekker (talk) 22:09, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Animals (Pink Floyd album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Dutch (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Orphaned non-free image File:Quintyes50.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Quintyes50.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:32, 1 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Gwladnewyddycymry.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Gwladnewyddycymry.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Problems with upload of File:Later-years-highlights.png

Thanks for uploading File:Later-years-highlights.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:31, 9 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

December 2019

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Colloquial Welsh nouns; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

 1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
"It should be noted", as well as being unnecessary verbosity that says nothing, is against the Manual of Style and is incorrect. Please stop inflicting it on articles. Thank you. @Dgpop: had this right last month too. Reyk YO! 14:33, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
