(Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL)

Current independent sourcing is a 'British Rowing' listing of the club with minimal information. Searching finds similar inclusion in lists of boat clubs and brief mention in lists of crews participating in events. No significant independent coverage located. Fails to meet WP:ORG or WP:GNG. Redirect to Linacre College. Gab4gab (talk) 13:42, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • AFD is for deletion, an administrator hitting the delete button that non-administrators do not have. It is in the name. ☺ Redirects are enacted with the editing tool that even editors without accounts have. Ironically, a redirect takes one third of the edits that an AFD nomination does. Please do not bring redirects to AFD. Uncle G (talk) 06:55, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • There's no problem with bringing a contested redirect (as this one was) to AfD. AfD very often leads to a decision to merge and redirect. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:02, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • A contested proposed deletion, but not a contested redirect. That's for article talk pages. AFD is about deciding when the delete button gets hit. Uncle G (talk) 10:35, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
        • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However Wikipedia policy says "Suitable venues for seeking a consensus if a redirection is challenged include the article's talk page and Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion."
  • Redirect - likely as a search term but not notable independently of the college. Worth discussing here, as some editors (see above) would opt to delete it entirely. Ingratis (talk) 15:06, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
