The third series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK will begin airing in September 2021.[1] The series was filmed in Manchester.[2]
The cast of the third series was officially announced in August 2021 on social media.[3] Due to health issues concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, series 2 contestant Veronica Green was also announced as one of the cast members, after receiving an open invitation for the third series. The season also welcomed Victoria Scone, the franchise's first ever openly cisgender female contestant since the franchise began in 2009.[4]
Production
In November 2020, BBC confirmed plans to air a third series.[2] Casting closed in November and the series was filmed in March 2021.[5][6]
BBC Three shared a seven-second teaser for the series on social media on 21 June 2021.[6][7]
