What a WHITEWASH this article is!

Where is the part about his son's drug arrest and his own public involvement in the following events? Where is the part about his daughter by the illicit extramarital relationship with the Taiwanese actress, which is documented in the Wiki article about his son?

--

Acutally, I was just thinking that this violates the privacy of the child:

"...an illegitimate daughter by the name of Etta Ng Chok Lam was born on 18 January 1999. It turned into a scandal within the media. Although he reportedly gave Elaine 70,000 HK dollars each month for her living expenses and 600,000 HK dollars when she moved to Shanghai, the transactions were later claimed to be nonexistent by her lawyer.[95][96][97][98] Despite regretting the results of the affair, Chan said he had "only committed a fault that many men in the world commit".[99][100][101] During the incident, Elaine stated she would take care of her daughter without Chan.[102]"

Could we at least delete the child's name?

36 Crazy Fists

Isn't this also a Jackie Chan film? It is not listed in the filmography. The credits list 'Jacky Chan'. There's at least one page on WP that claims that it is here: [1].

"please change (References - No. 52)" - Movie Review, 'Shanghai Knights' is an error link. Below we provide a valid link with the same information. Movie Review, 'Shanghai Knights' Sakib9294 (talk) 07:53, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Fixing the link doesn't mean replacing it with a non-WP:RS ref. (Edit: it's also a blatant copy of Mark Caro's review in the Chicago Tribune). –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 00:24, 17 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Add Jackie Chan to the category of "Chinese communists"

Could someone add Jackie Chan to the category of Chinese communists, given that he participates in the politics of the Chinese Communist Party and supports its platform? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:246:5780:C050:7CC3:3425:99ED:B561 (talk) 17:30, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Languages

Can anyone verify the source where it is claimed he "speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and American Sign Language and also speaks some German, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, and Thai."? Because more recent interviews in Germany and Spain show he doesn't speak German beyond greetings and not even that in Spanish[1][2]. That hardly qualifies as noteworthy. 2A02:AA13:8100:7880:D9BF:7763:2F97:FC86 (talk) 23:34, 9 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Chan Sr was hiding out at the US Embassy in Canberra because he was a Chinese nationalist agent who originally fled China to Hong Kong to avoid being captured by rival Communists.

"My father was spy hiding in Hong Kong and hiding in Australia at the American embassy for so many years," Chan said. (https://www.triplem.com.au/story/turns-out-jackie-chan-used-to-live-in-canberra-and-be-called-steve-58955 better explains his parents situation in Hong Kong and how his father came to work at the Australian Embassy)

Also same interview with Jackie provided a correction to how he got his name “Jackie”

When I go to try to learn English at school in Australia they call me Steve," Chan said.

"I tried to find a job.

"A guy said 'What's your English name?' and I said 'I don't have one'.

"My friend was a driver for the embassy.

"His name was Jack so it was, 'Ok, call him Jack'. 122.199.23.109 (talk) 14:55, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. - Flori4nK tc 15:22, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Term "Illegitimate child" should not be used

The term illegitimate child would no longer be used to refer to a child born to people outside of marriage. This term places undeserved blame and burden on the child of the parents be deeming them illegitimate. This should simply be referred to as "child outside of marriage."
