Hello, Garydog. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Ong Kean Swan, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. DJAMP4444 (talk) 13:58, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue removing Biographies of Living Persons PRODs without addressing the issue, as you did with Ong Kean Swan, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. DJAMP4444 (talk) 14:31, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ong Kean Swan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. DJAMP4444 (talk) 14:44, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ong Kean Swan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

The article Ong Kean Swan has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Deletion discussion about Ong Kean Swan

[edit]

Hello, Garydog,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Ong Kean Swan should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ong Kean Swan .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, ASCII-002 I NotifyOnline 15:17, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ong Kean Swan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.surewin4u.com/en/main.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Piguy101 (talk) 15:17, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the "AfD" tag - otherwise it prevents a clear discussion of the topic. Bearian (talk) 15:25, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ong Kean Swan revisited

[edit]

It would be much better if the at "No adverse record for Ong Kean Swan" document at Ong Kean Swan were readable. Not being readable and the current image not being from an independent source, it really shouldn't be in the article. --Bejnar (talk) 00:43, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your advice. I would find and replace a readable image to be inserted. (talk)

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:27, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution for updating the biographies. Just a gentle reminder that editors must take particular care when adding information about living person: See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BLP

Regarding the lawsuit of Tengku 1) A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted by a court of law. For people who are relatively unknown, editors must give serious consideration to not including material in any article suggesting that the person has committed. 2) Question: No conviction record was found from the reference link and he has pleaded not guilty, and he should be presumed innocent. We should not include the article suggesting he is committed, isn’it? This has violate the NPOV as well.

Regarding Red Island Coffee franchise business 1) His name is not appeared on the Guangming daily. (Please read thoroughly, I cannot find his name) 2) This is the Biography of Ong Kean Suan not Ong Tong Suan. Furthermore, SSM website listed Conviction for Ong Tong Suan only. 3) Question: I cannot find his name from a reliable source of reference. We should not include the article suggesting he is committed, isn’it? This has violate the NPOV as well. Garydog (talk) 22:55, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Advertising

[edit]

Sorry to be so rude, but I think you are not really here to make an encyclopedia, but are here solely to advertise for your boss. Bearian (talk) 23:23, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I would like to request to unblock my account as I am really not advertising the page “Ong Kean Swan”. My reason to amend the page is clearly stated in Talk:Ong_Kean_Swanin detail, but User:Bejnar & User:NawlinWiki undo most my amendment without clearly explanation address to points in talk page. I believe that controversy can be solved through proper discussion that blocking other opposite opinion. I will write in neutral point of view if unblocked. thanksGarydog (talk) 09:21, 16 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Everything you have written, both here and elsewhere, suggests that your idea of "neutral point of view" means finding every reason you can muster to justify removing anything unfavourable to your boss, while emphasising everything favourable to him. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again.
