    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting the restoration of a deleted article.

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    The TfD only covered templates which are no longer used, so it should be fine to undelete these. However, being a subtemplate of a deleted template is probably not ideal, so we should look at a better location for these editintro and preload templates. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 17:03, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

    @Graeme Bartlett: I would have responded the same way to this request if I had seen it first. It's the same modus operandi: an IP address whose sole edit on Wikipedia is to request undeletion of a draft created by a blocked account.     The note said that you could find no information about this, as if it never existed. You shouldn't delete things that didn't show up in a simple Google search for no reason.

    You can go to Google image search and type in "max 120s cigarettes" and find tons of ads, pack pictures, etc.

    They existed. I knew lots of women who smoked them for years. They were introduced in 1975. They stopped making them in 2010.

    Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion.     Jay I see now that the kpact article does indeed have a cc-by-sa notice, although it has an "All Rights Reserved" tag at the bottom, which perhaps, Krd, might be replaced by the correct status Jimfbleak - talk to me?

    Deleted revisions of simple logos

    Those files have deleted revisions -all of which should be restored-, because they were tagged as being non-free at the time. However, they have been identified to be too simple to be copyrighted. I'd like to move them to commons -where every other wiki can use the files too-, and in order to do so, those files are not allowed to have any deleted versions.     Those files have deleted revisions -all of which should be restored-, because they were tagged as being non-free at the time. However, they have been identified to be too simple to be copyrighted. I'd like to move them to commons -where every other wiki can use the files too-, and in order to do so, those files are not allowed to have any deleted versions.     @محمد محسن 90: Your draft was declined multiple times. It was really bad form for you to create the article in main space anyway in spite of this.     Dreams of India

    Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dreams of India (2nd nomination). I'm surprised this article was nominated for deletion again only 1 month after being restored. This was done over the holidays (nominated December 24 and deleted December 31), so I missed the discussion. This article is about the second of four radio plays in the "Travels With Jack" series (part of a larger set of radio plays featuring the character Jack Flanders). I'm confused as to why only the second play in the series is being repeatedly deleted as not notable. It seems peculiar to do this while leaving the first, third, and fourth plays in the series in place.     This page was deleted because it was incomplete, linked to unverified or inferior sources, and lacked educational content about the place it was made for (Farad, a former settlement along the Truckee river, between Floriston, CA and Verdi, NV, with its own exit on Interstate 80, was the site of the first hydroelectric power plant on the west side of the Sierra mountains, which provided clean, reliable electricity to Virginia City and its silver mining operations of the Comstock lode) I run the Farad California Facebook page (I intend to update the page with significantly more trustworthy sources, photographs, and more history about the site and its features.

    I don't know if any of the original authors/editors were aware of the delete. I was surprised to see the deletion of some articles at AFD with weak or no participation in discussions, even though there was no consensus for deletion. When I learned about the 'soft deletion' experience, I found it quite interesting. As someone who enjoys researching and working on biographies, particularly those of Azerbaijani women, on Wikipedia (both in Azerbaijani Wikipedia and, more recently, in English Wikipedia), I considered applying for the restoration of this article.

    Because, first of all, I find the experience of such deletion–restoration interesting and want to try, and also the subject is notable and fairly pass WP:GNG and WP:PROF. The individual is one of the female scholars in Azerbaijan who has significantly influenced medical science in contemporary Azerbaijan and is among the most referenced figures in the relevant field.     Spanish Flat, El Dorado County, California

    There is more history to this town than what was recorded in the deleted article.

    Spanish Flat was the site of a mining community from the early beginning of the California Gold Rush. Photographer Joseph B. Starkweather captured images of prospectors working on gold deposits. Notably, he captured images of White and Black prospectors working together in apparent conditions of equality. Spanish Flat gained its place in history through this photograph.

    Some of its first miners were ethnically Spanish/Mexican, and they removed hundreds of thousands of gold during the early years of the Gold Rush. The area was placer-mined for several more years, and the original miners were joined by immigrants from South America, Mexico, and Portugal.

    Spanish Flat saw intermittent mining from the end of the Gold Rush through the 20th century. Its Alhambra mine yielded high-grade gold ore in the 1930s and 1940s, including a chunk of native gold nearly 5 feet wide worth over a half a million dollars at the time.

    It was deleted under WP:G5. On the other hand WP:G5 clearly says "To qualify, the edit or page must have been made while the user was actually banned or blocked. A page created before the ban or block was imposed or after it was lifted will not qualify under this criterion." in this sockpuppet discussion it clearly mentioned that Kkb091 and Skt34 is different group from Nouman335. So in that case you have to consider it for un deletion. And the other reason it is a worthy article related to organization or in Islamic point of view.     I believe that it is unreasonable to apply these sanctions to the article, which is about an ephemeral Kurdish state in the Karabakh region which lasted for a brief time during 1992, in the context of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. (Keep in mind that its ephemerality is irrelevant- many articles on ephemeral states which lasted for one year or less during the Russian Civil War exist) The sanctions, in this case, are arguably constraining in that they result in the deletion of an entire relevant article because of a technicality. Furthermore, while is is true that the first version of the article appears to have been deleted by consensus years ago, that version appeared to be poorly put together with a lack of proper grammar and syntax, and was mainly eliminated because the author and contributors apparently failed to cite sources for the existence of the Republic itself!
