- @Vanderwaalforces Thank you for such a quick response to my submission.
- There are Gladiators, who have live pages, however, they have fewer to no sources on their pages. For example, Raye Hollitt, Danny Lee Clark (No Sources), Sha-ri Pendleton (1 Source cited), Mark Tucker (all sources are unreliable, also have a tag), Shannon Hall etc. I am not questioning your judgment, nor do I mean any offense, I am just trying to understand the "qualifies for a Wikipedia article", as in my opinion, Jim Kalafat has gained his coverage over time, in my humble opinion, and after looking into the ones who don't have pages, Jim is much more notable than his peers, who have a live page, or not.
- I apologize if anything is offensive, I am just trying to make my understanding clear. Kindy, guide me in this regard. Thank you.
- P.S. I accessed the list from the page of American Gladiators.
- Thank you, again. Ms.Aloisia (talk) 19:55, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Ms.Aloisia Hi there, those pages you mentioned, they are nothing but what I call problem pages. You see any article that has a tag on it's top, it is just a problem page that might never get fixed or that might take almost forever before someone decides to fix it. So, I won't want this new draft to be like that too. Just, go back to the draft, add more accurate and reliable sources, specifically, add the missing citations, the (citation needed) parts, and when you're done and confident that it is good to go, resubmit it, ping me here, I will come to check it. - @Vanderwaalforces ok. Thank you.
- Just one more thing, in the comment you have mentioned "Submission is improperly sourced and athlete". As per the information, I was able to collect, he is a former athlete, and although, the information about his football career is more, his notability is based on his career as a Gladiator. Although, I did find a lot of sources which would expand on his Gladiator career, however, I was afraid, that it might hurt the tone of the article.
- Would it be acceptable, if I remove all the information, that requires citation, and resubmit?
- Thank you! Ms.Aloisia (talk) 22:12, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- In the lead,
Jim Kalafat (also known as Jim Starr) is an American athlete, actor, and producer.
, I want to urge you to see the notability guideline for athletes at WP:NATHLETE, for actors at WP:NACTOR, and for producers at WP:NPRODUCER, see if this subject can pass any of them, if they can significantly pass notability as an actor, then prove it, if athlete, then prove it and so on. If you try your best and can't prove it, I'd urge you to chill out and wait till the subjects becomes significantly notable. Vanderwaalforces (talk) 22:29, 6 November 2023 (UTC)- Already chill... I do understand that not everything can be done correctly in the first go, there is always room to learn and grow. thank you for you help. Hopefully, I with community's help, I will be able to improve.
- I will go through, what you have sent. Thank you. Ms.Aloisia (talk) 22:39, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
