Sistani nationality and original name
Hello
I’m writing to raise a concern about user @Montblamc1 repeatedly editing the page about Ali Sistani. I’ve added at least six reliable sources, including Sistani's official site (sistani.org) and CNN, which clearly state that:
- Sistani was born in Mashhad, Iran.
- His native language is Persian.
- He holds Iranian citizenship by birth.
Despite this, @Montblamc1 has reverted the edits multiple times to include unsourced claims, such as labeling Sistanis native name in Arabic and as "Iraqi"," which isn’t supported by his official English site. They haven’t provided any reliable sources for these changes.
I’ve tried to discuss , but my edits keep getting reverted without valid justification. I don’t want to escalate this into an edit war, so I’m asking for your guidance:
- Should I continue editing the page to reflect the reliable sources, or would that worsen the situation?
- Will you intervene to address this issue and ensure the edits follow Wikipedia’s standards for sourcing and neutrality?
Thank you for your time and help! Taha Danesh (talk) 21:29, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I have no interest in intervening in this dispute.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:30, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
- thank you but what should i do? edit again? Taha Danesh (talk) 21:31, 11 December 2024 (UTC)
Aa372798
Hi, you blocked Aa372798 back in 2021. Is there any information about the sockmaster still available? Sean.hoyland (talk) 15:34, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Aa372798 is the master.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:45, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, of course. I was on the wrong floor category-wise. Thanks. Sean.hoyland (talk) 15:57, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
Apology for Mistaken Edits
Hey! @Bbb23. I'm sorry for mistakenly reverting a few of your edits. I'm not sure how it happened. I think I just enabled Twinkle and for some reason clicked on a word 'vandalism' somewhere. It just went on to revert your edits without my knowledge. When I checked back, I found out that it had led to some crazy reversion. I've undone those edits and I sincerely apologize for the same. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. Sorry! ParvatPrakash (talk) 23:43, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing it; I didn't even notice. :-) BTW, you don't have to ping me on my own Talk page.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:47, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Oh! Yes, I know I don't have to ping you cause I had fixed that in the edit summary itself. I just thought it might come across as blatant vandalism cause it just went on to undo so many edits together and it would be rude not to apologize for a genuine error on my part. I think it was cause of Twinkle and I just didn't notice. Thanks for understanding :) ParvatPrakash (talk) 00:00, 14 December 2024 (UTC)

Seems incapable of actually replying, just pings and signs. Tempted just to block Doug Weller talk 17:39, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- They're either a troll or a sock or both. You can block or wait to see if they do anything else. There's no point, though, in engaging them, IMO.--Bbb23 (talk) 17:57, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
User Ninne manne
Hello - I see that you have been dealing with user Ninnemanne; I wanted to bring user Ninne manne to your attention, who I think is a sockpuppet of the former. And actively trying to create the same article Draft:Sandeep Valluri, though not hugely successfully. I have already reported it to SPI Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Ninnemanne.
