Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk (テイルズ オブ シンフォニア-ラタトスクの騎士, Teiruzu obu Shinfonia-Ratatosuku no Kishi) is a sequel to Tales of Symphonia in development for the Wii. It was announced on July 20, 2007 and will be released sometime in Spring 2008. According to Shonen Jump, it will be a Wii exclusive. No release outside of Japan has been announced.
History
Knight of Ratatosk takes places two years after the events of Tales of Symphonia.[1] The protagonist is named Emil, and characters from the original Symphonia will return (but will not necessarily be playable characters).[1] The game will use Tales of the Abyss's Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System.[citation needed] The player will be able to capture, breed, and level up monsters to fight alongside Emil in battle.[1]
The Field Map won't be returning in this game. Instead, a point-and-click system using the Wii Remote will be used to navigate the world.

Trivia
- Marta is wearing a keychain in the shape of Mieu, a character from Tales of the Abyss.
- Ratatosk is a talking squirrel from Norse mythology that lived on the World Tree, Yggdrasil. Tales of Symphonia features a major villain by the name of Yggdrasill, as well as a giant life-giving tree that functions similarly to the Yggdrasil of myths. This tree also exists in Tales of Phantasia, which Tales of Symphonia is a prequel to.
