Hi Legs, I'm kind of confused as what to do with this article. I don't think it could be expanded enough to warrant its own article. Whats your opinion? Maybe a merge or delete? If merged, to which article? Thanks :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me21:00, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, it seems there really isn't any info at all about this release. Best bet is to merge the tracklist with Rainbows, since chronologically Rainbow is the parent album released in 2000, when this was released, right? — Legolas(talk2me)04:43, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure. Maybe merge to #1's? Well, Calvin already nominated it for deletion. I think that's best. It really is of no improtance and was just a deal with Wal-mart.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me13:53, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well you need to wait for the Afd to close, then merge. We cannot remove the tag, untill an admin closes it or Calvin999 withdraws the nom. — Legolas(talk2me)14:29, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, it sounded so stupid of him, that I thought it had to be a joke lol. People think so highly of him, that they sometimes forget he too was a regular person, with selfish and arrogant characteristics. I never liked him much, he's IMO overrated.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me14:48, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think of him as overrated much as a man with actually limited vision, after reading all the bios on him. Talk about re-hashing the same choreography for years and trying to hold on to laurels bestowed on him. — Legolas(talk2me)14:51, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well was he able to really enjoy all that cash? No, his last few years were really bad, with Vitiligo eating his skin, his family (even Trannet Jackson) turning away from him, the media hating him and his father trying to steal money at all cause. His is a story of a man who let go the hold of what could have been a tremendous empire. King of Pop or not, he just has himself to blame. — Legolas(talk2me)15:03, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, he wasn't. He honestly had one of the most F'ed up lives and careers out of all of them! Its pretty sad. BTW, on another note, what do you think I should do. Novice has been gone for like 12 days already, and I signed on to review Irresistible a while ago. Thing is I don't want to post the review, and then he isn't here to make the fixes :S--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me15:07, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that, I actually had tried to find him on Facebook, but little boy is not there I guess. I hope everything is fine with him. As for the review, you can fail it, but post the comments and it will help him in the second nomination when he comes back. Anyways 12 days are up, so wait another two days to make it two weeks, so then you can post. — Legolas(talk2me)15:13, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, I don't know where he went :( Are you friends with him of Facebook? I have one too :D I just tried finding you under Avinava and Avi bhaiya (yep I'm a stalker :P) but to no avail! BTW, have you ever heard of this? I tell you, tat J. Lo and Tommy, uch!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me15:29, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't added any of you guys on Facebook. You should have got me under Avinava. As for the article, don;t worry its by Roger Freidman, a knowm Mimi+Madge+Gaga hater. — Legolas(talk2me)15:34, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nathan, post the Irresistible review and I'm more than happy to take a look at it on Novice's behalf. I've looked after a couple of Candy's GANs seeing as he's rully busy IRL. Adabow (talk · contribs) 06:12, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes sure, its F#m7-Bm-G/A-Bmaj7 in the verses, with the last bit changing into Gmaj7 for the bridge, so well, its not exactly a basic progression, lol. Btw, Nathan that Flickr image you are trying to incorporate might be a case of "Flickr Washing". Better you let an amdin like User:Martin H. check it before you upload it. — Legolas(talk2me)10:23, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well he can change it, but don't upload it just now Nathan. Flickrwashing is a case when users change the metadata of a file and upload it to their name, even though they might not be the author of the file. That's a serious copyvio and hence I'm asking you to consult User:Martin. H for clarification. — Legolas(talk2me)04:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Re: W.E. (film)
Heyyyy! Sorry it took so long to reply =/. I just had a quick look over the article (I'm going to give it a better inspection very soon) and there does seem to be quite a bit of useful information about the film's production and release. My only concern is the source of material: The Daily Fail. I've seen several GAs use it as a source but if you ever wanted to try for FA status, some editors might bring up replacing it with a more trustworthy publication. Crystal Clear x301:02, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Some useful things:
You can mention in the development section that Madonna had previous directing experience with a 2008 short film release
This film marks her first feature production
It will also showcase her as a serious filmmaker (in the release section: As one publication pointed out, W.E. will be a platform for Madonna to prover herself as a serious filmmaker)
When making this picture, Madonna had in mind that it would establish her artistic credibility and give her success in the movie field after appearing in several critical failures in the past several decades
A test screening that was kept under wraps was said to have drawn up negative reception from its audience. Viewers believed the movie did not add up and seemed more like a fancy advertisement than what its production values were. Other observations were that W.E. had no heart to it and was more style over substance. This led to Weinstein re-editing it in the hopes of having it be more commercially marketable.
(if this isn't already in the article) Madonna spoke to friends and associates of Simpson, such as socialite Nicky Haslam, to help gather more information on the subject
Producer David Parfitt and casting agent Nina Gold removed themselves from the project shortly after becoming attached to it, citing creative differences
Just days after working with Madonna, Margo Stilley pulled out of W.E.. Reports have suggested that the actress found the filmmaker to be too "overbearing and controlling"
(if you want) Clothing featured in the movie came from big name designers like Galliano and Issa and its jewelry was recreated by Cartier.
I was reverting S&M for the second time in 2 minutes and it didn't work, and i got really annoyed, thinking the IP had edited again, then I saw you had reverted, which is cool lol. Calvin • 99918:00, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would you like to add your opinion to an ongoing discussion regarding the Template:Album ratings? It concerns the number of reviews/scores included in the template and whether or not to keep in the template the reviews with no ratings given, termed "(un)favorable", "mixed", "positive", etc. Dan56 (talk) 22:28, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Madonna awards
Hi. I ajusted the text in the intro around some so I think it reads better now. As for the all the lists I would try to make them all a uniform width so that the article has a nice, tidy appearance. Also, all the list have their second column titled "Nominated work" when in fact it's often not a work but Madonna herself who is being nominated. It seems a bit odd to me to refer to her as a "work". I suggest that you change these column heading to "Nominated artist" if only she is the nominee and "Nominated work or artist" if it's either her or one of her songs/albums/whatever being nominated. "Nominated work" should therefore be used only for lists where only albums/songs/whatever are the nominees. As for the sources, I haven't check those for accuracy so I'll leave that for some one else. Other than these suggestions the article looks pretty good to me. Jimknut (talk) 01:18, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The article looks much better now. If you can drum up some other reviewers to give it the "once over" and get their support I'll offer mine as well. Jimknut (talk) 00:58, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hell yeah! I think that that was her best performance of "Single Ladies". And BTINH/EOT was really good too. Her voice sounds better than on the studio versions. She always has the same crowd-wooing techniques in the middle of songs, though. Eg 1,2,3,4 clapping in "Crazy" and the eh-eh in SL... but yeah, AMAZING! Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:22, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah that part kinda effed me off too. I like the whole album, except "Love on Top" - I don't really get it. BTINH, "Countdown", EOT, "I Was Here" and "Dance for You" are my faves. And the deluxe remixes aren't too bad, at least they don't use the same beat as every other flipping song at the moment. (Party Rock Anthem, anyone?) Lol this episode of The Big Bang Theory just screened over here :P. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:30, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, that is a way behind. (It's only a 30 second snippet, if you're tempted...) Urrgh, I am quite disgusted at what's been dominating the charts lately. Thank goodness for Adele (Someone Like You #1 here and Aussie). "I Was Here" reminds me of "Save the Hero"; I can't believe that STH was only on the Platinum IASF, it should have been traded for "Satellites" or something...smh. Yep, I was suprised to find I didn't really miss Gaga on "Telephone"... it was after the DC medley. GLastonbury doesn't screen here (except maybe on pay TV), so I watch em all on YouTube. Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:41, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I really wanna get 21, too bad I cbf getting an after-school job to pay for shit... oh well. I was thinking 'who the hell is Kathy Beth Terry? Is she some new groundbreaking artist?' Lol obviously I didn't pay much attention to the video. I hated LFN until I saw the video, now it's so-so. Katy doesn't really do much for me, but I'm sure that EMI is loving her right now. She is on fire. When will the deluxe edition of TD come out. :-) Adabow (talk · contribs) 09:54, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
RE:Meat dress of Lady Gaga
Hi there, you were quite right and I've expanded the lead as per your suggestion. Thanks, and if you can see any other issues with the article, please let me know as that way I can put it right before it gets to being reviewed. Thanks again! Miyagawa(talk)19:05, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think the List of Australian inventions isnt as far away from FL as you claim. It appears to only be a matter of style, not substance. Even Adabow has only advised changing the lead, an adjustment in the bolding, and a cleanup of the citation style. Your reccomendation to look at 'other FLs on he same subject' isnt easy, because there are few. The one that I looked at the closest before submitting was the only one that combines science and history in the Timeline of Chemistry, which uses a bolded year on each line, similar to the Australian inventions list which has the year in regular, then the item bolded. The citations have a very similar style. Most importantly the Chemistry list doesnt use a table, giving it a similar look to the Australian inventions list, which showed me that its not compulsory to have a table style list for it to be considered an FL. The Australian inventions list doesnt have an extensive peer review, but that isnt compulsory either - its not even mentioned in the FL criteria. Your comments state that a few style issues and a peer review are the only things holding it back - so can you explain how such minor adjustments are 'not even close?' I'm back!! Yes, I am! Woo, I missed you guys sooo much!! It's so great to be back :) I went through a lot of "real life" troubles these two weeks, and I'm happy everything's sorted out :) Well, I saw your query Avi, and I searched the web and found a few sources. Keyboard Magazine had some great articles regarding Madonna's Ray of Light and Lady Gaga, unfortunately the links are dead now :( I got my hands on the google cached version, and you know what to do with them ;) Here they are: [1] (original link: [2]), [3] (orig: [4]), [5] (o: [6]), [7] (o: [8]). Here are a few other links: [9] and [10] (something about Madge's tour). Btw, I love Kathy Beth Terry :P I also love Brit's new video (yeah, I watched both of 'em a few minutes ago lol). How are you?? Novice7 (talk) 11:03, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh thank goodness, you're alive! I was scared for you. I even tried searching you on Facebook. And I can't thank enough that you remembered my post and found such wonderful urls. Yes I love these two videos so much. I'm doing fine, just busy with this and other GAs. Life is blooming too. — Legolas(talk2me)11:25, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm alive, yes!! Actually, I had a Facebook profile like a year ago, but I deleted it. I'll soon start a new one, and I'll let you know when I'm done :) The links, well, no problem :) This is the least I can do to help you :) Glad to know you're doing well too. Novice7 (talk) 11:36, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh Facebook is so in to even keep in touch with retired Wikipedians. The reason of my concern with you was because I found out that one of my wiki-friend, who wasn't editing for a long time, has actually passed away. I was beyond shocked on seeing the condolences in his facebook page. So sad. Hope your family problems were resolved and you and your family is doing well now. — Legolas(talk2me)11:41, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's really really sad :( Although I don't know him/her, I feel this pain inside my heart... Yes, they're being sorted out and I'm doing fine :) Novice7 (talk) 11:45, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
So many of my old friends from here have retired, only I am left. God forbid, I don't wanna leave from here. :) Now getchurbooty to facebook and CREATE a profile!! That's your punishment for being absent for so long. — Legolas(talk2me)11:48, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If u have so much problem with adding gagadaily then why dont u find any reliable source..... if u dont know how to be polite than dont talk at all..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Afrazrasheed (talk • contribs) 18:57, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, lets see, if you consider this as being rude to you, then you are deluded my friend. I have been giving you chances to read up policies on reliable sources, but meh, take your call. Oh and the onus lies with you to find a reliable source, not adding a freakin' fansite and expecting others to nose-dive into google. See how that works? — Legolas(talk2me)04:55, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think you didn't understand me. I said that you wrote "I know you mean well": that is not rude, and I didn't understand why did he say that. Ofekalef (talk) 06:29, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WikiCup 2011 June newsletter
We are half way through 2011, and entering the penultimate round of this year's WikiCup; the semi-finals are upon us! Points scored in the interim (29/30 June) may be counted towards next round, but please do not update your submissions' pages until the next round has begun. 16 contestants remain, and all have shown dedication to the project to reach this far. Our round leader was Casliber (submissions) who, among other things, successfully passed three articles through featured article candidates and claimed an impressive 29 articles at Did You Know, scoring 555 points. Casliber led pool D. Pool A was led by Wizardman (submissions), claiming points for a featured article, a featured list and seven good article reviews, while pool C was led by Eisfbnore (submissions), who claimed for two good articles, ten articles at Did You Know and four good article reviews. They scored 154 and 118 respectively. Pool B was by far our most competitive pool; six of the eight competitors made it through to round 4, with all of them scoring over 100 points. The pool was led by Hurricanehink (submissions), who claimed for, among other things, three featured articles and five good articles. In addition to the four pool leaders, 12 others (the four second places, and the 8 next highest overall) make up our final 16. The lowest scorer who reached round 4 scored 76 points; a significant increase on the 41 needed to reach round 3. Eight of our semi-finalists scored at least twice as much as this.
No points were awarded this round for featured pictures, good topics or In the News, and no points have been awarded in the whole competition for featured topics, featured portals or featured sounds. Instead, the highest percentage of points has come from good articles. Featured articles, despite their high point cost, are low in number, and so, overall, share a comparable number of points with Did You Know, which are high in number but low in cost. A comparatively small but still considerable number of points come from featured lists and good article reviews, rounding out this round's overall scores.
We would again like to thank Jarry1250 (submissions) and Stone (submissions) for invaluable background work, as well as all of those helping to provide reviews for the articles listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. Please do keep using it, and please do help by providing reviews for the articles listed there. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews generally at GAC, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup.
Two final notes: Firstly, please remember to state your participation in the WikiCup when nominating articles at FAC. Finally, some WikiCup-related statistics can be seen here and here, for those interested, though it appears that neither are completely accurate at this time. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges are reachable on their talk pages, or by email. Good luck! If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. I tried minutes ago. The page won't load for some reason... I should have stuck with Airtel instead of moving to BSNL :( I'll try at night :) Novice7 (talk) 10:29, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I went crazy, I guess. My friends suggested BSNL, so I thought I should give it a try :) It's just bad. No customer support, down most of the time etc. Oh well, I should wait till Onam before changing back. Just changed to BSNL three months ago. Novice7 (talk) 10:36, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My favorite time of the year! So much fun, calmness! I can't wait :) Don't worry! You can enjoy Onam after you recover completely. Btw, I was wondering... Do you own a copy of The Billboard Book of Number One Albums?? If so, can you do me a little something? Does the book have information on Nippy's self-titled debut and "How Will I Know"?? Novice7 (talk) 14:05, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nah I don't have that one. Frcm1988 actually scanned me the Madonna articles, hence I never felt the need to buy it, lol. Of course the book has information about Nippy's debut album seeing its tremendous success. — Legolas(talk2me)15:45, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Christopher (bless him) has a wonderful job now. That's why he is busy. Not everybody wastes time at home like me. *sigh, sippin tea again* — Legolas(talk2me)15:59, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wasting time at home? Don't worry bhai :D You'll be at your work soon :) How are you feeling now? I mean, the physiotherapy?? Novice7 (talk) 16:06, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, physiotherapy's over, now exercise and exercise. Still walking with the help of a walking stick. Waiting for the day when I can go to a club/disc again. — Legolas(talk2me)16:22, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
With all the exercise, I'm sure you'll recover soon :) Good night, I'm off to bed (had to get up early today... Feeling sleeeeeepy). Take care :) Novice7 (talk) 16:34, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I've responded to the comments you made and made some corrections you suggested along with some more by the other assessor. Could you please have another look? Hassan514 (talk) 06:11, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I did have another look much before you had posted here, but I stand by what I said. Its just a minor improvement to a long overhauling process that you need to undergo to make it a FL quality list. — Legolas(talk2me)06:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, but I've JUST completed another edit. Referenced everything, standardised things. So it should be much different from what you saw a while back. I'd really appreciate it! Hassan514 (talk) 07:52, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Legolas2186. You have new messages at Vensatry's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

About a year ago I did a successful peer review on the article. Since then not much prose has changed. Recently, I've been doing tweaking to the article (mostly reference-related). I would like to nominate the article for A-class very soon but I'm not 100 percent sold on it's prose, if Puerto Rican people should be linked and if the image in the music video section is really needed (but I am confident the references check-out). I'd love to have your input on This Is It as you've made a FA song article from scratch. Be brutal with it =) Crystal Clear x305:43, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bug you (again) but, umm, how do you nominate an article for A-class?!? I put the a class=current in the talk page's wikiproject, but there's no link to initiate the nomination..... ?Crystal Clear x306:23, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Only some WikiProjects support A-class (mainly Biog and MilHist). I think you should skip A and go straight to FAC, when you believe it's ready. Adabow (talk · contribs) 06:33, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm here again :)
I wanted to show you a template we made for charts in singles and albums articles. You can see it in here. Simply: it has all the countries we thout about (there are more we forget, I know), and it shows the top position for songs, and the certifications for it. Maybe you'll want it, and maybe not, but it's nice :) Ofekalef (talk) 12:21, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
