Kangemi is a slum in Kenya. It is on the road connecting Nairobi with Naivasha and on the outskirts of Nairobi. [1][2] It likely has more than 100,000 residents. [3] Kangemi is in a small valley. [4]

The slum has no sewerage. [5] About 20,000 persons belong to a Catholic parish based in Kangemi. [6] Kangemi High School exists in Kangemi. [7] Many residents of Kangemi are HIV-positive. [8] There have been riots in Kangemi. [9]
