Toll Global Logistics (TGL) is a division of the Toll Group and is the specialist contract logistics division of the Group. [1] Toll Global Logistics has three business units: Automotive; Customised Solutions; and Contract Logistics Australia. The division offers a range of transport, warehousing and value-added services including: freight transport services, distribution services, warehousing, cross docking, wharf services, supply chain services and finished parts logistics. [2] Toll Global Logistics provides services in the Asia Pacific region. [3]
For the financial year 2011/2012 Toll Global Logistics had sales of $1,419.8 million and total revenue of $92.6 million. [4] Toll Global Logistics was reported to have retained key customers and achieved new customer wins, and also saw the benefits of a recovery in earnings from its automotive logistics business. [5] [6] The half yearly reporting of results to the end of December 2012 indicated that whilst earnings for the division reflected the sale of the vehicle distribution business, on a normalised basis earnings they were up by five percent on the previous corresponding time period. [7] The down trading across a number of customers was reportedly offset by new contract wins. [8] Across the division the new business wins were with George Weston Foods, BlueScope Port Kembla, Rubbermaid, Adidas, RCG, Unilever Icecream, Dynaplast (Vietnam), Nestle (India), Tronox (Malaysia) and Illula (Malaysia). [9] Toll Global Logistics established several new facilities in the second half of the financial year. [10] The facilities were for Optus in Yennora, NSW; IKEA in Greystanes, Adidas in Melbourne, John Deere in Thailand. [11] [12]
