About the transreality games article
The article on transreality gaming (formerly transreality(computing)) is now 'finalized' and in my sandbox (or should it reside at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Sandbox or Draft:Sandbox), but it seems I have to wait for weeks to have it assessed. Can we do a shortcut here, based on your former recommendation? Please advise.Sightestrp (talk) 14:25, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Since you are asking for an AFC review for your article, you should move it to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Transreality gaming. There it will receive attention from all those who normally review new articles like this. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:38, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- I would appreciate your opinion on it though, so I can improve it amap.Sightestrp (talk) 11:39, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- I think you've properly limited the scope of the article to gaming, which is the focus of all of your references. Now the only problem I see is one of accessibility. You've written what appears to be a scholarly journal article, using a fair amount of jargon, but the average reader (e.g. me) may not understand your point. The difference between "trans-reality" gaming and any other kind of virtual-reality gaming is not really spelled out in clear terms that a layman can understand. But that might just be my own problem, and it certainly wouldn't be the first Wikipedia article with such issues. Overall, I think you've addressed my concerns nicely. About my artical
Hey, you recently nominated my artical for, 'Speedy Deletion. The name was, 'Party in Synth Town'. Please tell me why you believe this artical should be deleted. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TrueSoulTrain (talk • contribs)
- The message on your user talk page should be reasonably clear. I nominated the article for deletion because it appeared to be about a recording (a song or album) with no evidence of notability, by a recording artist (singer or band) who also does not appear notable. Since I can't see the deleted page to know what it said, and I don't remember it, that's all the detail I can give you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:22, 28 March 2014 (UTC)

Article Deletion/Edit for Lehigh Carbon Community College
WikiDan61,
I am operating on behalf of Lehigh Carbon Community College to edit and present factual information on our Wikipedia page. You sent me a message regarding paraphrasing, which in this instance does not apply, as I am speaking on behalf of the college. I ask that you remove your edit.
If you have any questions regarding the status of the Lehigh Carbon Community College Wikipedia page, and to work together in resolving this issue, please email me at zcampbell@lccc.edu.
Sincerely,
Z.w.campbell (talk) 16:48, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- editing on behalf of another entity represents a conflict of interest, and still does not give you permission to violate copyrights. Material taken from the school's website cannot be presumed to have the neutrality required at Wikipedia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:36, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
WikiDan61,
I understand the need for neutrality, and the article was not a pitch to attend LCCC. It was a conglomerate of information taken from LCCC's administrative documents and statistics from the website. There was no spin. According to Wikipedia's guidelines, how would I go about proving that to you so that the article remains published?
Thanks, Z.w.campbell (talk) 17:58, 28 March 2014 (UTC)
- While you might not have seen the article as a pitch to attend LCCC, the text you added contained much that would be considered promotional. Phrases like:
- To continue to meet the demands of student life and better serve the surrounding community, LCCC continues to expand the availability of its online classes, allowing education to take place wherever a personal computer is accessible.
- and:
- The 38,000 sq. ft. building provides students in the region with a convenient, close-to-home option for affordable, high-quality education
- can really not be called neutral.
- Also, the article presented detailed biographical sketches of the college's past presidents, with no reliable sources. This is a violation of Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy.
- In general, it is not a good idea to copy a school's website text or other publications verbatim into Wikipedia, even if you have permission. Schools and corporations create websites primarily to promote themselves, which is a fine practice. But because of that, the text included in such sources is rarely the proper content for encyclopedia articles. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:57, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
WikiDan61,
I understand. I've had another Wikipedia user reach out to me to assist in keeping the page sufficiently neutral. Is it safe to say, that if I cite reliable third-party sources for the information on the page, the new edits will be kept?
Thank you for your assistance,
Z.w.campbell (talk) 15:36, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
- If you can cite reliable (third-party) sources, and can keep the edits neutral, they are likely to be retained, yes. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:38, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Squaremouth
I have taken your feedback into consideration and have made several edits to the Squaremouth page.
The below changes have been made:
- Removal of all publications which mentioned Squaremouth
- Corrected citation of Inc. (magazine) recognition
- Added recognition from TopConsumerReviews.com. This refers to Squaremouth's travel insurance website, rather than the company's growth. It proves notability of Squaremouth
Mes06c (talk) 17:37, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
- Noted. I'll leave it to other editors to assess the changes and see if they address the issues which led me to nominate the article in the first place. Personally, I don't think they do. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 17:40, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
WikiDan61, in your opinion, what other changes/additions to the Squaremouth page do you think would suffice to keep it up? Thank you! Mes06c (talk) 19:29, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
- I'd like to see significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. I don't know that I consider the review at "TopConsumerReviews.com" to be reliable, since I can't assess their editorial policies. Also, that is but one review. Generally, companies are deemed notable based on multiple instances of significant coverage. I'm still not seeing that. That is why I'd like others to look at the article. Dear Dan,
I'm employee at SBM and we want to create a page for our company but it's complicated because we are ( Saudi business machines ) the Saudi ( International business machines ) , please support me on that.
Many thanks Meshal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meshal Al-Subaie (talk • contribs) 08:01, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
- The problem with your request is that your basic motivation is to promote your company, which is not what Wikipedia is here for. As an employee of the company, you have a basic conflict of interest and should not be involved with the creation of the article. Your best course of action is to request an article at Wikipedia:Requested articles. Then someone who is uninvolved with the company can decide if it merits an article. Jean Baptiste Baudreau II talkback
sorry for the trouble. I found the letter in a book of archives. I did try to put the source in, but I guess I just did not know how to use this. It was my first time putting things in. I don't know if you will even get this message. I understand now that just a summary of the letter should be posted. I have never used this program before. I should have also put that he was the last person to be broken on a wheel in the United States. I am a descendent of his and wanted this information available for other descendents. This is a primary source and is not copyrighted, perhaps the translated version would be? The book I got if from, I tried to cite it so that it would be legal. Also you state the letter goes into another page. I have never been to that.
From now on I will not mess with this, even though the information I find may be useful to someone. I don't want to violate any laws. Perhaps one day after understanding this program more.

- The question isn't whether the text of the letter (or even its translation) is copyrighted or not (although if you copied the translation verbatim from a modern work, it may well be an issue), the question is whether the text of the letter, in its entirety, with no commentary or context, has any encyclopedic value, which I believe it does not. Such primary sources are the purview of historians; they review the sources and place them into context by examining other available sources, and they boil down the meaning of such sources in the texts they write (which then become secondary sources). Those secondary sources are then edited and reviewed by other historians, so that we at Wikipedia may have some reasonable confidence that the meaning that has been extracted from such primary sources has been correctly rendered and reported to us, the readers.
- If you find that this text may be of interest to other descendants of Baudreau, perhaps you can set up a page on Wikia.com to publish it. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:54, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
As a historian, I know this. I should have read the rules of Wikipedia before I posted it. Since, we as historians, consider Wikipedia only as a source to lead you to good sources and cannot be used in anything scholarly, I thought the public (generally genealogist)would like to read it, as many would never be able to get a copy of it. I thought the letter might be of interest to others. As his descendent, I am and others that have been shown the copy to are also interested. Thank you for your help and excuse me for messing up your pages.

Toronto Mayoral candidate campaign articles
Why are you putting them up for speedy deletion? Kingjeff (talk) 14:32, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
- Because, as I explained on your talk page, creating separate articles for each candidate's 2014 mayoral campaign is an unnecessary content fork and could easily be seen as promotional. The material should be easily covered at each candidate's page, with a single article about the overall campaign to cover debates that occurred and other notable events of the campaign. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:06, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Are you prepared to do the same for Mitt Romney presidential campaign, 2012 and what do you think would happen if I put the Rob Ford campaign article in the Rob Ford article? Kingjeff (talk) 15:36, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
You still haven't answered my question above. Is the Mitt Romney presidential campaign, 2012 article an "unnecessary content fork" of the "Mitt Romney" article?
Lets talk about WP:SPAM.
- "How not to be a spammer" states "Review your intentions. Wikipedia is not a space for personal promotion or the promotion of products, services, web sites, fandoms, ideologies, or other memes. If you are here to tell readers how great something is, or to get exposure for an idea or product that nobody has heard of yet, you are in the wrong place. Likewise, if you are here to make sure that the famous Wikipedia cites you as the authority on something (and possibly to pull up your sagging PageRank) you will probably be disappointed, because Wikipedia uses nofollow on all external links, thereby causing search engines to effectively ignore them."
- I am definitely not here for "personal promotion or the promotion of products, services, web sites, fandoms, ideologies, or other memes." The only thing that the articles can fall in is "ideologies." But I created the same type of article for four candidates. So, I'm not promoting one set of "ideologies."
- It also says to "contribute cited text, not bare links. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a link farm. If you have a source to contribute, first contribute some facts that you learned from that source, then cite the source. Do not simply direct readers to another site for the useful facts; add useful facts to the article, then cite the site where you found them. You are here to improve Wikipedia—not just to funnel readers off Wikipedia and onto some other site, right? (If not, see No. 1 above.)"
- I have definitely contributed "some facts" that I learned from multiple sources. Then I added the sources.
- A third point it states is "the References section is for references. A reference directs the reader to a work that the writer(s) referred to while writing the article. The References section of a Wikipedia article is not just a list of related works; it is specifically the list of works used as sources. Therefore, it can never be correct to add a link or reference to References sections if nobody editing the text of the article has actually referred to it."
- I definitely only put in independent third–party references. Every link is attached to a sourced statement in the article.
- A fourth point stated is "Do not make a new article for your own product or web site. Most often, when a person creates a new article describing his or her own work, it is because the work is not yet well-known enough to have attracted anyone else's attention, much less independent and reliable sources against which the content can be verified. Articles of this sort are usually deleted. Wikipedia does indeed have articles about popular products and web sites, but it is not acceptable to use Wikipedia to popularize them."
- I have nothing to promote. I am neither any of those candidate or working with any of the relevant campaigns.
- Point five is irrelevant and I haven't done point six. Therefore I can't be accused of being a spammer. Kingjeff (talk) 01:33, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Editing Process
Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I have been in the fashion business for quite a longtime (since the mid 1980s), the nature of my occupation is individuals interchange throughout the business on quite a regular basis, so as you can imagine I’ve worked and contributed to many publications in the fashion industry. For that reason I am cautious with my links and edits as they all come from sources that I believe as an expert, to be without bias and accurate.
I feel that the links I have added to the articles are exceptionally relevant. My strategy is to connect links and information to trustworthy media sources that base information on objective information and results. There is unquestionably no divergence of interest as I am a contributing editor to more than 25 fashion publications worldwide. On the contrary, my edits were changed back to information that is out of date and out of touch. As I am very new to Wikipedia; I do not understand the principles involved, nor have a total grasp on the editing process. However, when I see links that are missing vital information ; I am not adding them because I am a contributing editor to one publication or another; but rather because the knowledge is significant and factually without prejudice.
Seeing ambiguous links to erroneous material, and "model" rankings that are absolutely bias is quite disconcerting, as the information linked is not based on any quantifiable evidence, but rather unmitigated partiality. ( If anything all the links to Model.com, and even mention of the ranking system on Models.com should be removed. Models.com Is not a media outlet but rather a webpage business based on making money from model agencies and wannabe models that want to feature there companies and or portfolios in the models.com directory or portfolios section.) The reason I linked FashionIndustree.com is simply, The Ranking System is based on results and FashionIndustree.com does not do business with Models, Agents, or Directory Profiles, but rather is a completely free service. The most important rule in journalism is not to be underwritten by the party that you are wishing to speak objectively about. Models.com do not base their results on palpable data but rather self-aiding interest.
The reason that I am writing you is simple, my few contributions have been changed back as they looked at as self promotion or spamming, but they are far from that. After looking at your talk page, I see that you have a great deal of experience on Wikipedia and frankly I need help.
I am afraid that my links are being snubbed and arbitrated because I have been authentic about my proficiency in the industry and affiliations, rather than the added value and information to the Wikipedia article. I am sure that Wikipedia does not do business this way, and I would love to go about replacing a large percentage of the fashion content on the site with unbias measurable results and sources. Fashionindustrypro (talk) 20:43, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
- No, your links are being snubbed and arbitrated because they all appear to be to the same website: http://www.fashionindustree.com and its various client pages. What this tells me is that there are people who are clients of the fashionindustree site, who are hoping to use that site to help promote their fashion design career. Such links have no place in Wikipedia articles, per Wikipedia's external links policy. The resemblance of your username to that site's name is troubling, but it is not the reason these links are being disallowed. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 20:51, 21 April 2014 (UTC)

hi there.
hi there. I am wondering if you could help me. I am trying to write an article for Dawn Grant. She is a hypnotherapist and mental trainer and she is in the process of writing two books. I wrote one, but it was flagged for deletion. Can you help me or write the article for me? I have an article written, it may just need professional tweeking. Thanks! Collettegray (talk) 13:56, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
- I note that there is a copy of this article in the history of your user page (here), and I recall tagging the article you created from this (at Dawn Grant) for speedy deletion. The reasons were several:
- The article does not provide any indication that Grant is in anyway notable. There are lots of hypnotherapists in the world; unless Grant has done something to distinguish herself in that field (and has been recognized for this distinction by significant coverage in reliable sources), she doesn't really merit inclusion.
- The article reads very much like an advertisement for Grant's services, which is prohibited.
- If you have rewritten the material, and would like me to review it again prior to posting it in article space, place the draft at User:Collettegray/Dawn Grant, and let me know when it's ready. As a userspace draft, the article won't be subject to speedy deletion unless it violates copyrights or is a blatant attack page (and I doubt either condition will apply). Once you've posted it, let me know, and I'll help how I can. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:04, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

Amanda Harris
Hi WikiDan61,
I have recently created an account for the sole purpose of editing and developing the living person biography page of Amanda Harris.
A little while ago Amanda did attempt to add her previous acting work and amend incorrect information on her own page but was kindly advised, by you in a direct email I think, that her additions did not conform to Wikipedia citation rules.
This is my first editorial venture and I would really appreciate some advice and guidance on how best to resolve the issues with her edit.
Many thanks InConversationwithAlan (talk) 20:10, 26 April 2014 (UTC)
- I note on your user page, you claim to have "direct and exclusive access to the person concerned". That's great and would make for a lovely newspaper article, but it won't really do for Wikipedia. Wikipedia's verifiability criteria require that sources used to verify an article's content must be publicly available for other editors to check. Your private, personal interviews with Ms Harris will not be usable as source material for your Wikipedia article. Now, if you can get a newspaper to publish your story, then we could use that published (and presumably fact-checked) story as the basis of additional material at the Wikipedia article. Flagship (sustainability certification)
Hello Dan61!
As I am new to Wikipedia as an author I'm not sure if this is the right way to have this conversation so please excuse me and tell me how we should do this in the proper way if it is so.
The certification stamp is nothing that we (The Flagship Movement) are going to try and get any kind of copyright for, at least that has never been discussed so far as I would assume it costs quite a lot to do that. Those projects that we grant this certification to will be displayed on our website that we are currently building. Besides, anyone could just basically copy-paste this logo onto their own website if they wanted to and we would probably never know, and if we did we would not go to any length to try and get them to remove it either. But as you have deemed our topic Non-notable, and considering that my article will be deleted there is no reason to have that picture uploaded unto Wikipedia. So should I remove it, and is that possible as the "uploader" of that picture?Captain Greenbeard (talk) 22:29, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

- Yes, I fully understand that timoxelin barbutenol is a single compound (which may or may not be a barbiturate) and that barbiturates are entire class of compounds, so they are not the same thing. However, you article, while titled timoxelin barbutenol, does not say a single thing about that compound, but rather talks about barbiturates in general. Hello WikiDan61 I want to lock the article Animals for the Care of Treatment. Because adminstrators want to delete the article but its important to alot animal rights activist. - Not done. The article was a hoax and I have no intention of fostering such a hoax. Even if I did, that's not the way things work at Wikipedia. No one can "lock" an article so that only select editors can access it. An article can be protected so that only certain classes of users may edit it, but this is generally only done to protect sensitive parts of the project or to prevent vandalism. It is never intended to short circuit the collaborative nature of the project. And even then, I couldn't help you; only administrators can protect pages. All that being said, I suggest you take the advice you have already been given and please stop wasting the time of other Wikipedia editors with this hoax. - Nickki Praize on Twitter this is his twitter handled But we Ask You One More Time Dont delete This Page — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coal Nation (talk • contribs)
- The problem is that he is not a notable music producer. The article does not make sufficient claim of his notability (working with a notable artist could mean anything from co-writing songs with them to carrying their equipment). Artists are not notable because they work with notable artists (see Notability is not inherited), they are notable because they have been the subject of significant coverage in independent media, and this does not appear to be the case for Praize. Your research skill much to be concerned and debated
You placed two "dubious" links on the David I Orenstein page. Dr. Orenstein's rank is full professor and he is Department Chairperson. Both are facts and not bias. Call the College & you can easily confirm/verify his position and rank.
Based on your lack of ability to do appropriate research in this instance, I would consider your skills "dubious" until such time you can prove otherwise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.119.214.76 (talk) 22:45, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

re: Marco Maria Scolaris
Hello — I noticed you proposed the new article “Marco Maria Scolaris” for deletion as a BLP with no sources. I've added a few easy-to-find sources, including to the Website of the organization that he's the president of; but of course that's a primary source and not entirely independent. Because of that, I didn't delete the PROD tag myself. If you have a moment, check the three sources that I added to see if you think they meet the criteria required by the PROD. I expect that some other contents of the article will be able to cite those same sources as inline references. Unician ∇ 12:48, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
Kevin Sunray updated references.
Dear Dan, I have updated and added 2 more references regarding Kevin Sunray (Vasilis Milopoulos) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Sunray Do the page needs more references to prove the living person? And if yes what kind of?
Thank You Vasilis — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vasilism (talk • contribs) 09:28, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
- You don't need to prove Sunray is a living person; you need to demonstrate that he is a notable person, by providing multiple instances of significant coverage in reliable independent sources. The sources you've provided (his profile on his label's website, a link that demonstrates that a DJ remixed his song (or maybe he remixed another DJ's song -- I'm not sure) and a couple of discogs.com links) are not sufficient to demonstrate notability, and are not sufficient to fully verify any significant facts about Sunray other than his mere existence. OMNOVA Solutions page
Can you help me understand why the changes I made to the OMNOVA Solutions page were not accepted. The old version which you reverted back to includes to much wrong information. OMNOVA divested from many of the businesses that are listed on the page.

- Your edits were reverted because they were clearly written as marketing rather than as encyclopedic fact. Phrases such as
- leverages technology to create value-added products and services
- and
- a leading global innovator
- and
- OMNOVA's chemistries provide a variety of functional properties to enhance their customer' products
- are all advertising copy and have no place in Wikipedia, where we strive for neutrality. When editors encounter a series of such edits by a single author, it is common to simply revert the entire batch of edits, often throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Given the history of the article, and my interaction with it and its editors, I am working on the presumption that you are the same editor who originally edited under the name OMNOVA Marketing (having changed user names after my warning about the inappropriateness of that username). Based on this, you have a conflict of interest with the article, and your best course of action is to request the correction of any factual errors on the talk page. Regarding replacement of image of Ali ibne Abi Talib A.S.
First and foremostly I am interested in knowing your background (genuinely speaking your religion cum school of thought sir). The assertion which was not mentioned by S.M.A.A.R regarding neutrality of this image which according to you is a calligraphic representation Ali can be read as Ali Radi allah hu Taala anhu now strictly speaking this is not neutral as far as different school of thoughts within islam are concerned. We believe that it should be Ali Alahis Salam means peace be upon them since he belongs to the family of Prophet Mohd.(Pbuh). And Ali is majorly respected by shi'ahs and then sunnis, if you know Arabic then you can read Ali is followed by raziAllahu taala anhu which voids the neutrality policies of this esteemed community based resource center. And only because of this reason few peoples have mentioned about the non neutrality of this sensitive issue. Hence I urge you to kindly remove this image and upload an image sub scripting Alahis Salaam after the name of Ali . And it's not easy to understand Ali either Allah understood Ali or Prophet Mohd pbuh understood Ali we human stands no where pay your utmost respect to the "father of soil " he was the most knowledgeable person in the history after Prophet Mohd. if you want to know more about his scientific theories e.g how the earth was created , when man was converted from piece of dust to a living being , how rivers were flown , atmosphere was created , what are the effective principles of governance , why to outreach weaker sections of societies, theory of relativity when prophet Mohd went to the seventh sky and met Allah only after Prophet Moses, how did he made a live man dead soon after conducting his funeral prayers , his knowledge of Alchemy , Chemistry , Philosophy , Mathematics , Physics ,Astronomy, Metaphysics, Financial Economics, Political Sciences ,Human psychology , Military Engineering, His innate capabilities of true jurisprudence and justice and loadz of loadz of more mind blowing theories and eye opening postulates please read all the volumes of Nahaj al Balagha (Peak of eloquence) . This book contains many of his notable theories and sermons available somehow by some of his lovers as much of his recorded work was set to burn by then ruling Umayyad and Abbasid caliphates of then. I request you to do justice with this name as I may ve told you only 0.000000000000000000001 % about this man and I am damn serious truth should be upheld stop following peoples whi've articulated , fabricated , manipulated facts and figures "explore more about Ali and the you shall start paying your highest respect to this man" inshallah Allah knows best. - Could you at least tell me what article you're talking about? Going by what you've written, I suspect that I reverted an action because it had been deemed controversial, and required a discussion. I know nothing of the politics or religious differences between Islamic groups and their iconography, but I do know about Wikipedia guidelines and policies. When one user tries to change an article, and another user doesn't agree with that change, rather than simply editing back and forth to express their own views, those two editors (and other, uninvolved third parties) should discuss the matter. As I recall about the image you mentioned (and again, a page link would really help refresh my memory, their was a dispute about which image to use in an article. I reverted to the image in use before the dispute arose. If the disputing parties would like to discuss the matter and arrive at a consensus, I'd be fine with that. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:14, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- Upon further investigation, I see that you are talking about a series of edits to the article Ali made by S.M.A.A.R (talk · contribs) (a user now blocked for abuse of Wikipedia policies, by the way) back in February 2014. My recollection about the incident was correct: SMAAR was making edits to the article (specifically changing the image in use) without explaining why. All that was required was engagement in a discussion. I reiterate, I have no opinion one way or the other. I do not read Arabic, and I do not have any opinions about the religion or politics involved. I only desire that Wikipedia operate from a position of consensus rather than contention. You win
I tried my best to edit my content to make the wiki community happy, but I guess its not good enough since people would rather vandalize and mark my topic for speedy deletion rather than help fix the problem. R. Dale Reed. Without him, there would not have been a NASA lifting body program and still be using Space capsules to bring our astronauts back to earth. Thank you for deleting history. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jbako001 (talk • contribs) 15:28, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- It is not vandalism to mark an article for speedy deletion if it does not meet the criteria for inclusion, which, at the time I marked the article, it did not. Your inclusion of citations from NASA indicating Reed's key role in this key technology have caused me to reverse this opinion. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:48, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
The mystery surrounding a mandolin,,,
Can't find the place now, but have recently read a request for someone to clear up the mystery surrounding a mandolin, on Wikipedia. I think it is found among "South African Musicians and there is a picture of it on Google. That picture was originally part of a Wikipedia article about Frederick Abinger (Tom)Warder, mentioned elsewhere as "the world's most famous Hemochromatosis patient," and, among other things, the "inventor of the Gyroscope Brake,"
