Mixture of 1st and 3rd person
Why is the article a (wild) mixture of 1st and 3rd person all over the place? Not only is this highly unusual for Wikipedia articles, but it's also confusing for readers. --Stefanhinz (talk) 15:46, 13 June 2016 (UTC)
Unflattering Article Image
I know this may not be very important, but I believe the profile image for this article is unflattering. Not only are there higher-quality, better-looking images available to use, but it appears to me that the image is too small as well. Seeing how I'm new to editing Wikipedia, I don't want to add any image myself that may violate a copyright or policy. I do, however, know of many images that would definitely do Frank Herbert justice, a number of which can easily be found by simply searching for his name in Google Images. I'm willing to throw up one myself if I was certain it was appropriate, but I simply do not know enough about the policies and legal considerations of Wikipedia or the process of adequately accomplishing such a task.

I Agree with the above user, is there anyway we can get a better image? the one there now makes Mr. Herbert look like a bum.

Park
A park in Tacoma, Washington may be named after Herbert: http://www.thenewstribune.com/2013/06/19/2645714/frank-herbert-makes-sense-for.html --Gwern (contribs) 16:27 24 June 2013 (GMT)
Influences/influenced
{{Infobox writer}} no longer supports the fields influences and influenced. Its template documentation now instructs (twice): "No longer supported. Please move cited/citable instances into prose." [not done]
Here are the current parameter values (cut and paste except format; especially, the names were displayed one on each line):
- |influences = Jules Verne, H. G. Wells[1] Edgar Rice Burroughs[1] Robert A. Heinlein, Jack Vance, Poul Anderson[ref name="vertex" />
- |influenced = Chris Wooding[2]
See Talk: Ray Bradbury#Influences/influenced for some more explanation with cross-references.

Unwillingly/unwittingly
The reference to Nixon 'unwillingly' teaching people to distrust government as a result of Watergate is incorrect English. 'Unwillingly' would mean he knew he was doing it, but was forced to do it against his will (did it under duress) - which certainly isn't true. The right word here is 'unwittingly' - he did it, but had no idea he was doing it (another possible term for this is 'inadvertently').213.127.210.95 (talk) 16:47, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- Good catch. I've fixed it. Cheers. —Waldhorn (talk) 05:32, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
