Speedy tagging

This speedy deletion tagging was too speedy. I've messaged you about this in the past, but apparently to no avail. Please remember not to bite the newbies. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:02, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiDan61: Do you believe Kirstin Mitchell passes GNG? Only source I could find is that she made an album cover. I do some research before tagging, you know. If the person's non-notable now what's the point of waiting 15 mins? I always strive not to bite newbies. Best, FoCuS contribs; talk to me! 18:32, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
How much research could you have done if you tagged the article less than one minute after it was created? Do I believe her to be notable? Probably not. But it's possible that the author could have surprised you and me with sources that you are not aware of to demonstrate notability. But it's also possible that the author will not now bother, having been bitten. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 23:10, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
