Chad McNamara

Hi Bearcat, If you go thru his Instagram account https://www.instagram.com/chadmcnamara/ you can see that he lives with his partner. And in a post from November 4, 2017, He captioned a photo with "@chadmcnamara: My man making me an end table. That's love. #fall #woodworking #saturday #imwatchingfigureskating" and one user commented "@32whatismylife: @chadmcnamara not trying to be mean? are you gay" and Chad replied "@chadmcnamara: @32whatismylife was it 'my man' or figure skating that gave it away." Clearly he's gay. I do my research. Add the category back if you want, I provided with enough, If you want to go thru his account be my guess. Also in a more recent post from January 2, 2018, He caption a photo with "@chadmcnamara: Happy 2018 from our family to yours. Now get me to a beach." The photo pictures Chad with his partner and their 2 dogs.

Steve Hannagan I have resubmitted the article on March 21, 2018. I am not sure how to interpet the comment that the Steve Hannagan was not notable. He developed many of the modern techniques of press and public relations. There is no single book about him. However, there were many articles written about him in major magazines like Life, Colliers, Scribners, Time, etc. Mtownsley (talk) 02:12, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear friend, Hope you are doing well. You declined the submission of this source, since there is already one existing. Could you, please, help me to delete this draft? I hope it is possible. Do not want to have a mess of sources. Thank you beforehand. ZahraGasim (talk) 06:00, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New Jersey political stuff

It looks like there are a number of other New Jersey politician pages which don't qualify under WP:N or WP:POLITICAL and since you've been in these discussions I'm wondering what your thoughts on cleaning them up are, since it's a bit contentious at this point in time. I worked through a category from R to L before stopping (alphabetically backwards, not right-to-left) and would propose the following based on what's been deleted: Eliu Rivera, Elizabeth Randall, Samuel H. Patterson, James S. Parkes, Tomas J. Padilla, Bryant B. Newcomb, Theodore J. Narozanick, John J. Murphy, Edgar O. Murphy, Jose C. Muñoz, Bernadette P. McPherson, Dennis McNerney, William D. McDowell, Joseph Mayer (politician), Maria Barnaby Greenwald, Doris Mahalick, Hank Lyon, Anna C. Little, Brian D. Levine, Harry Larrison Jr., Gerald Lange Jr., Renee Lane

Wondering if you had any advice on whether or not these should be nominated. SportingFlyer talk 05:45, 1 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Out of curiosity...

... you semiprotected this page on August 12, 2014, which seems to be a heck of a long time ago. I might understand if it was a contentious page, but it just deals with an american dish, and the accident originating it seems to happen within a day or two. Looking at it from the outside, a 3/4 days (even a week) long protection would have been more sensible, I think. 79.40.43.123 (talk) 20:48, 4 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, thanks for unprotecting the Jambalaya page. 79.40.43.123 (talk) 18:56, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bearcat, I had made a fair amount citation updates to the article Christopher Massimine. Could you please reinstate the article so that information can at least be added to the draft? Dear Sir, When i asked her about her Date of Birth, Birth Place, etc. She told me all these things. So please tell me what i can do now?

Thanks for clarifying my query. Please tell me the solution of this too. Xenon One (talk) 19:22, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Sir, Should i screenshot her message and show you? Xenon One (talk) 19:54, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm showing you the proof. What's the problem in this? Xenon One (talk) 19:59, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So, shall i add the screenshot or her own recording saying "her date of birth and place"? Xenon One (talk) 20:03, 6 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How do i know that "the news piece is correct" ?

As you know not all things shown in the media are true? For example things related to Donald Drumpf or something like that. I mean if the person "herself" is not a reliable source then how can "Wikipedia" trust those "news piece" ?

How can a person lie about "her" Date of birth and place?? It doesn't seem to be logicaal at all!

One can lie about possession of arms, etc. like Sanjay Dutt But how the date of birth!? She must not be a thief, right?

Give me atleast three examples of "the actresses who lied about their Date of Birth"

Ok, I've accepted my defeat. You won.

Bad Blood renewed

Hey again. Take a look at this http://rogersmediatv.ca/pr_detail.php?id=1452 . They renewed Bad Blood (miniseries) for a second season. Please add anything else you see in there that is worth mention. We had a little conversation previously about its viewership, where it didn't show up in the top 10 from that site you mentioned, but I ended up finding some info from a newspaper article noting around 250,000 Canadian viewers for the first two episodes. This source above says it reached a total of 3.2 million Canadian viewers. I don't know what to make of this as if the 250,000 stayed on track for all 6 episodes it would be only 1.5 million? They must be including some other modes? Oh, also, we wouldn't put 2 seasons and 6+8 new episodes = 14 episodes in the info box yet would we? Thanks. Alexandra de Scheel

Man, I'm really sorry, but I had to clean up that disaster at Alexandra de Scheel. I'm afraid that some of it looked like a BLP problem, and I'm still not convinced that the political site isn't a parody. I know it's bad form to gut a page while it's at AFD, so I've noted this and voted there as well. Kuru (talk) 00:16, 16 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User:Rbond7 created as an article

Hi Bearcat, this is a urgent message Some user name User:Rbond7 have created as an article and misusing Wikipedia from its userpage. This is an urgent messgage could you go to the user page titled User:Rbond7 it has a lot of categories from it's userpage and also could you remove a lot of categories and tell User:Rbond7 to never put categories on its userpage because it was misused. Thanks for your understanding. 2001:569:7C07:2600:554E:C15:EA8D:B82C (talk) 01:32, 17 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your deletion of my Elites of Eden article

Hello. I am trying to contact you in regards for your deletion of my article I created. (Or, at least, tried to create.) I have done the same thing to create the Children of Eden article, and it has never been deleted once. I'd just like to understand your reasoning, so I can possibly do something for myself to get this article up and running. Thank you, 1bcdbackup (talk) 07:46, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your moving of my Pat Ahern (Siamsa Tire) to Pat Ahern (Director)

Dear Bearcat, Unfortunately I have only now spotted the change you made. I would ask you to revert the title to my original one. You see, Pat Ahern has not been director of the Irish National Folk Theatre for a decade now, and the title is therefore misleading. He is the founder of the Folk Theatre, Siamsa Tire, and everybody associates him with that. I would be most obliged if you would undo the change you made as I find that I cannot. Best regards Scríobhaí (talk) 16:04, 18 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I see now why my disambiguation was not acceptable; 'musician', though not ideal, would be ok. I would be very grateful if you could effect the change for me, as I am not an experienced Wikipedian. Thanks so much for your help. Scríobhaí (talk) 07:17, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Golden Lotus (musical)

HI Bearcat FYI I have been working on the article for Golden Lotus (musical) and found many sources that were not previously used in that article. The article is now up for review for reposting as it was suggested by a reviewer that its original deletion was not warrantedJohn99Wick (talk) 13:22, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Golden Lotus (musical) I added 7 new sources to this article and I would like to explain the sources to you. The Facebook posts for which links were provided on the article are posts that contain the original articles from credible sources. The Standard HK is likely the foremost English language newspaper in HongKong. They only archive their articles for up to one year,, then they are gone. If it is better to remove the Facebook links and just cite the source please let me know. As for the credibility of the sources on this article, I believe that the StandardHK, Sing Pao (likely the foremost Chinese language daily in Hong Kong) , Wenweipao and MaddbuzzHK are very credible sources. StarsHK is a popular for entertainment news and a1c1 and stheadline are also up and coming sources for news which I believe are also credible. HKELD may be considered a blog by some but it really is an English theatre news website. It is where people get their news and information about English theatre in Hong Kong. I hope this clarifies the sources on this article. Here is a list of the new sources I recently added to this article: 1.白健恩及鍾浩賢分別飾演西門慶、潘金蓮 Ronan Pak Kin Yan and Harriet Chung played Ximen Qing and Pan Jinlian respectively, wenweipo.com, September 09, 2014 2.身演出振雄風 白健恩生擒潘金蓮 He Was Born to Capture Golden Lotus, hd.stheadline.com, September 5, 2014 3.白健恩激情戲成重點 Ronan Pak Kin Yan's Passion Play, SING PAO, September 25, 2014 4.Review- Golden Lotus, the Musical", HKELD, September 13,2014 5.Woman Pursues Her Passion in Life and Dance, The Standard HK, September 10, 2014 6.白健恩主演音樂劇《金瓶梅》 獲《最佳原創作品獎》Ronan Pak Kin Yan starred in Golden Lotus which won the "Best Original Work" Award, Stars HK, September 8, 2015 7.白健恩主演音樂劇《金瓶梅》獲《最佳原創作品獎》Ronan Pak Kin Yan starred in Golden Lotus Which Won the "Best Original Work" Award". a1c1.com.hk. I also found these new sources on George Chiang and his book The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing New Articles found about George Chiang's acting http://nowtoronto.pressreader.com/now-magazine/19930114, Railroad Direct, NOW Magazine, January 14, 199 http://nowtoronto.pressreader.com/now-magazine/19931007, Urban Donnellys looks at feuds from the view of street-level people, NOW Magazine, October 7, 1993 http://nowtoronto.pressreader.com/now-magazine/19931021, Donnelleys Dynamite, NOW Magazine, October 21, 1993 A theatrical bat out of hell". Toronto Star, October 14, 1993. (found on the Wikipedia article for Kimberly Huie which mentions George Chiang) about the same play in the Now magazine articles listed above.

I know there are more articles but it will take me time to find them and list them properly as sources.

New article, review and additional book award for The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing: https://www.keremeosreview.com/news/award-winning-book-inspired-by-cawton-mans-stories/ new Review https://readersfavorite.com/book-review/the-railroad-adventures-of-chen-sing New Award - The Readerview Kids 2018 Reviewers Choice Award (Canada West) - the award was only recently awarded and no articles have mentioned it as of yet. http://readerviews.com/2017-2018-literary-award-winnersJohn99Wick (talk) 15:31, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need to mention the new award. However, The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing's first two awards were mentioned in two newspaper articles which have been forwarded to you.. One newspaper article was on the original Wiki article and one was sent to you yesterday. Regardless, of the book. There are 3 articles in question. As for the Golden Lotus (musical) sources. I can certainly cite the original newspaper article itself and take down the link to the Facebook posts. that is an easy fix. And the sources thus far listed for George Chiang's acting are all very credible sources. I am still working on the sourcing for that page as there are moreJohn99Wick (talk) 16:21, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I listed one source from The Toronto Star is Canada's top national newspaper. I will be including more from the Toronto Star, The Globe And Mail and Toronto Sun when I get the time to find them. The George Chiang page is not ready yet. But I do believe that the Golden Lotus (musical) and The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing articles warrant DRV at this point.John99Wick (talk) 16:33, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
small world re: Kimberly Huie. Well then George Chiang's acting credits will not be listed. If he has an article it should just state that he wrote Golden Lotus and The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing at this point in time. Mention of his acting could be included because there are a substantial amount of credible sources that mention him but it would not be stated as notable.John99Wick (talk) 16:52, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. I hope the work I have done on the sourcing including the removal of the Facebook links helps justify notability for the writer George Chiang based on his works Golden Lotus (musical) and The Railroad Adventures of Chen Sing based on the new sources I have provided.John99Wick (talk) 17:02, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

JUNO Editing event

Hi Bearcat. Just letting you know we're having an event tonight at Toronto Reference. Info here: Wikipedia:Meetup/Indigenous_Musicians. Thanks for all your work on Canadian music! And, can you let me know how to undo a redirect to a group article for individual musicians? I want to add individual pages for some folks (DJ Shub for example). Help appreciated. Thanks for your help and responses! We were a small group so only got through a few pages. I'm working up a DJ Shub article and I'll try the "redirect" instructions when it's ready. We're going to be starting a GTA Indigenous Wiki group (IndigiWiki) and we'll be hosting more events. I'll let you know when/where. The TPL meeting was on fairly short notice. Canadian Screen Awards

Hi! Sorry for the late reply! TBH, I don't know which section is appropriate for the Fan Choice Awards. We can't put them under Film, TV or Digital media as all actors are not attached to a specific film, TV show or digital show when nominations for these are announced. Having a sole section just for a Fan Choice Award might be too much for just one category. Janbryan (talk) 03:00, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bearcat! Thanks for supporting the article getting moved to the userspace/draftspace. I'm working with the student on the issues in the article, specifically notability, tone, and sourcing. I've found some coverage for her poetry - there's a university press book that has covered her fairly well, along with a few reviews of her work. I think that and her work founding CWILA should help resolve the notability issue for the most part, although I've asked the student to keep searching for non-primary sources. Part of the issue here is that the good stuff is a little buried and harder to find, so I can see where the student could've missed it. As such I'm focusing slightly more on the promotional tones and working with the student to tone down the article. That's going to be a little harder since this will need to be edited down quite a bit. (Also my fingers are itching to edit it myself, but my job is more to assist the student than to do any direct editing, otherwise they lose out on the learning potential.)

Anywho, thanks again! Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:35, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
