Deletion of Yasuomi Hashimura Page

Hello, this page was recently deleted as self promotion. I am now rewriting it to include more third party sources and make it much shorter. Nyartlover (talk) 19:31, 27 November 2018 (UTC)Nyartlover[reply]

Replied on user talk page, still a promo Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:23, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for alerting me of the policy. I have deleted the draft and declared my COI. Can I cite magazine articles written about the subject if they are in Japanese? These older magazine articles were printed and cannot be found online Nyartlover (talk) 18:28, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nyartlover, although English-language sources are preferred, they can be in any language as long as they are otherwise satisfactory. Similarly, print-only books, journals and magazines are widely used. I regularly use non-English and print-only sources in my own articles. Hello, I have added more secondary sources to this page and would like to submit it for review and inclusion again. How should I do that? Nyartlover (talk) 19:42, 4 December 2018 (UTC) Hello, this is regarding the Anna Group post. How can I declare my COI?Sree-Kumar (talk) 05:14, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Non-urgent, silly questions

Hi Jimfbleak, thank you again for your help in the past on the couple of pages I created. I have 2 simple questions: 1) I received a "Thank you" email notification from you a couple weeks ago, what are those and where are they logged? (I can't see it anywhere other than the email I received). 2) I also received a "Page has been reviewed" email notification, which looks like someone edited one of my pages, but I can't see any edits made. Can you explain what "Review" means and the role it has on Wikipedia, vs. Editing? Thanks and best regards, PLforWP (talk) 18:59, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

PLforWP, I think you mean notifications rather than emails. In any page's history, next to each edit you will see an opportunity to thank the editor who made that edit, see guidance, log, although I can't imagine anyone actually referring to the log. When a new page is created, it has a right-hand sidebar with options for reviewers, one of which is just a tick that simply records that it's been read, so that the article drops off the new page list and doesn't waste other reviewers' time reading the same thing. No actual edit is made to the page. Other options include tagging for deletion etc, which would make an edit. Looking at your user group page, it's possible that the sidebar may not show for you, just as the Delete and Block options don't show for non-admins, but I don't know if that's the case Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:45, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Jimfbleak, makes sense. Yes, I was talking about WP notifications (which result in an email to my Gmail), not internal WP emails. I now understand the 'Thank' function in the revision histories (and just used it to thank you :-) ). Indeed I'm not seeing the "Reviewed" tick in the new page feed in my case, probably because I don't have these permissions. Have a great evening PLforWP (talk) 17:47, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Another copyvio

Indian banana trade same as the draft which the same user put in mainspace on Nov 12 yet they are on AFC help complaining we have not approved the Draft page. Legacypac (talk) 14:58, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legacypac, thanks, I've deleted everything in sight and posted a warning on her talk page. If she doesn't answer the COI question or copies again, I'll indef if I get there first, cheers Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:32, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Davnik

Jimfbleak; I tried to talk to you and saw instructions to add my text at the bottom of the page, but there was nothing there. This is the reason for me attaching this to Indian Banana Trade. Advise please on how to contact you.Davnik66 (talk) 18:05, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Davnik66, this is the place to talk to me, just write below this and sign with four tildes ~~~~, note that I'll be signing off soon though, so you may not get an immediate reply Jimfbleak - talk to me? 19:31, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks: You properly rejected my page yesterday. I did not realize when I hit review that my writing would be deleted. What I was doing was showing my first draft to see what was necessary for the article to be accepted. There is much more to include that may persuade you. Can I get back what I submitted or must i start anew. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davnik66 (talkcontribs) 20:20, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
