Cannabis in Kenya is illegal; the drug is locally referred to as bhang or banghi.[1]
History
Cannabis ("bhang") was banned in Kenya during the British colonial East Africa Protectorate under the Opium Ordinance, effective 1 January 1914.[2][3]However,there has been recent campaigns that have called for its legalisation. For example, thje late Ken Okoth was advocating for its legalisation on basis of its medicinal values.(by owino)
