the article looks informative but I think you could add more detail to it like historical background of superb bird of paradise and talk about it evolution perspective like what makes to live in Indonesia? are there variety of them talk about each of them Anwaramna15 (talk) 17:15, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Species

It is incorrect to say a new species discovered in 2018. Rather, the species was split into three in 2017. The three new species were all described many years ago; until 2017 they were considered subspecies. Article amended to reflect this. Ptilinopus (talk) 21:13, 4 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Superb Bird-of-ParadiseSuperb bird-of-paradise – Move to lowercase vernacular name per typical conventions. However, given the number of names included in the lead, it's unclear to me (as I have not researched it), if it is appropriate to place this article at a vernacular name or a scientific name.
