Proposed deletion of Bo Scarbrough

The article Bo Scarbrough has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not come close to satisfying either WP:COLLATH, WP:NGRIDIRON or WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Safiel (talk) 05:12, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is brought to AfD, see the article's talk page. That should cover it. Lizard (talk) 06:01, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We should delete this article, surely he'll never amount to anything. Lizard (talk) 02:24, 10 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:Yankees10 Regarding Bengie Molina Article Revision

Hello, thanks for your help with my revision to the Bengie Molina article. As he was awarded the Willie Mac Award, I am simply curious as to why the revision was made to delete the addition to a category, which I had created, where none currently exists and likely should? I am hoping you could help answer this, for my own curiosity, thanks.

Lol. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 03:46, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly notable. Who could forget his 1999 season with the Claymores? Lizard (talk) 03:55, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

All-Pro

Shouldn't we get some consensus for what All-Pro teams to list in the infoboxes and All-Pro pages. The recent articles (ex. 2015 All-Pro Team) have Pro Football Focus in the lead but the PFF team isn't actually listed. Someone removed them. I'm not sure what qualifies and what doesn't. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 01:03, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah definitely. There shouldn't be any inconsistencies with these.--Yankees10 09:31, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
How do we decide though? WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 14:11, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This gets confusing on which to include or not just like the with the college football All-American teams. Personally if it was up to me i'd just stick with AP, PFWA and SN and not include PFF. PFF doesn't get the wide recognition yet as the others.--Yankees10 18:43, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I had added PFF a few months ago, based on what Pro-Football-Reference lists, then some IP came around claiming there was consensus not to include PFF years ago, but I never found that consensus. But I did find that the NFLPA collective bargaining agreement in 2011 (see page 101) recognized the AP, PFWA/PFWA, Sporting News, and Sports Illustrated as "veteran media". This seems to be what the "consensus" decided, but I've never seen Sports Illustrated listed. Lizard (talk) 18:51, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think you meant to say PFW/PFWA. Yh, I don't see Pro Football Weekly included either. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:30, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
PFW and PFWA are basically the same. Pro Football Weekly is published by the PFWA I think. Lizard (talk) 19:47, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cook

I thought the navboxes were only for regular season. This is a rare case indeed. What shall we do? WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 21:35, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He should be there as he did start. We could add a # sign and say that it was a postseason start, however I'm not sure we should be taking up space in the template for that.--Yankees10 21:42, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't think we included postseason before. Joe Webb just has (2010), he's missing the playoff start in 2012. I guess in the case of Osweiler and Savage, it doesn't really matter which one says "present" though. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 21:45, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I think Dissident normally deals with these. Lizard (talk) 21:47, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For the Raiders starting quarterback navbox? We have Matt Cassel as a "starter" for the Bills in 2015, due to him taking the first snap of the season in a trick play. But on the other hand, the NFL does not officially include postseason starts as part of a player's career start total, so if we follow how they do it, Cook shouldn't belong. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 00:22, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • It wouldn't be a big deal if we included postseason because cases like Webb and Cook are very few. Most people who start a playoff game started at least one regular season game that year too. And a lot of the QB lists on here have the postseason starters. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 22:15, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Raiders starting quarterbacks template

Connor Cook IS NOT considered a starting quarterback yet because he did not start in the regular season. He did make a start in the postseason, but he is not considered a starting quarterback on the team. -MON5T3ER (RoyalsLife) — Preceding unsigned comment added by RoyalsLife (talkcontribs) 21:00, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

La O

I think his last name is just La O (you can move it back if u disagree) and Yander part of his first/middle name. Weirdest name ever! We'll know more when he gets a MLB.com page/see alpha order. 24.162.134.57 (talk) 05:27, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

U can see in the body of this article refer to him as La O but the accompanying video is too fuzzy to see his last name on the back of his jersey. Ur opinion? 24.162.134.57 (talk) 05:37, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
His B-R page lists him as Luis Yander (Camacho) Yander. I'm confused. 24.162.134.57 (talk) 05:46, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Could Yander be part of his first/middle name and last name!! 24.162.134.57 (talk) 05:57, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
U can see here de la O last name. But can't find just La O. 24.162.134.57 (talk) 06:14, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

These Cuban names can get real confusing sometimes. I won't make any changes until he gets an MLB.com page.--Yankees10 07:08, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unreal

I can't wait for the season to be over. I've never seen vandalism that heavy. This is what I imagine the edit history on Trump's page would be like if it was unprotected for 30 minutes. Lizard (talk) 02:55, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I wish we had a football editor admin that would right away be able to protect the page instead of having to wait until the nonsense gets this far.--Yankees10 03:03, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've been letting them hear it. Wikipedia talk:Requests for page protection#1,276 admins. As expected, they avoided the actual problem and went off into admin-speak. Lizard (talk) 03:10, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here's all the admins in WP:NFL: User:BU Rob13, User:Cbl62, User:Cholmes75, User:Eagles247, User:Go Phightins!, User:Gonzo_fan2007, User:Jayron32, User:Rlendog, User:VegaDark, User:Wizardman, User:Zzyzx11. And I may have missed some. I hope you don't mind me pinging all of them, because they need to be aware of what happens when a player gets called for holding in a playoff game. Lizard (talk) 05:14, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm home now, so I'm grabbing some of these. When I got this ping (and a couple others), I was on a bus home from Wikipedia Day NYC and on mobile only, so I couldn't do much. We need more admins, badly, but few editors on the "front lines" are running. We've done a better job recruiting niche editors or long-time content creators as admin candidates in the past month, but we're still struggling to get counter-vandalism editors to run for and pass RfA. ~ Rob13Talk 06:16, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
My intentions were mainly to point out that we had 11 admins in WP:NFL, and to suggest that at least one of them be on standby next week for the conference championships. The vandalism was insane this week, it'll be worse next week. WP:RFPP has been criminally slow lately; protection coming three hours later isn't gonna cut it. We need an admin who could respond immediately when vandalism on a page goes haywire. Lizard (talk) 06:32, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Yankees10: Have you ever considered running? You have the tenure, the edits, the experience, a clean block log (for at least seven years), and, in my experience, the temperament. I haven't the time to do a full review, but I would encourage you to submit your name here to potentially get some feedback and throw your hat in the ring. Anyway, with regard to this specific issue, I am well aware of the amount of vandalism that can happen on articles when a subject does something noteworthy (or not, in this case). It's one of the reasons I hate the MLB Trade Deadline. But, it's the price we pay for being an encyclopedia that anyone can edit. I'd encourage following up on the proposals discussed at WP:RFPP about noting BLPs and the number of edits made recently. I can try to be available at least for some of next Sunday evening. Go Phightins! 15:14, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I'd want to be one. It would be nice for situations like this, but i'm not sure sure i'm interested in the other responsibilities.--Yankees10 18:12, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pro Bowl

Does being a Pro Bowler even mean anything. Like 75% of the league gets invited lol. Just looking looking at the AFC QBs, 13 out of the 16 teams could have had their starter be a Pro Bowler. The following list is in order of passing yards.

  • Philip Rivers (accepted invite)
  • Joe Flacco (not sure he had an invite but why not, he had the 2nd most yards in the AFC, not like Siemian's numbers are way better)
  • Andrew Luck (declined invite due to injury)
  • Andy Dalton (accepted invite)
  • Derek Carr (selected on ballot but injured and will not play)
  • Blake Bortles (same as Flacco, not like Siemian's numbers are way better)
  • Ben Roethlisberger (selected on ballot but injured and will not play)
  • Tom Brady (selected but team is in Super Bowl)
  • Alex Smith (accepted invite)
  • Marcus Mariota (injured before Pro Bowl invites started, so he could not have been invited unless he was selected on the original ballot, his numbers are way better than Siemian's)
  • Trevor Siemian (declined invite due to surgery)
  • Tyrod Taylor (declined invite due to surgery)
  • Ryan Tannehill (injured like Mariota, and not like his numbers are that much different from Taylor or Siemian, Tannehill's might be better since he played in fewer games)
  • Ryan Fitzpatrick (no invite, 12 TD 17 INT)
  • Brock Osweiler (no invite, 15 TD 16 INT)
  • Browns QBs (no invite)

For the record, the NFC side isn't as bad. The five players currently listed on the 2017 Pro Bowl page are the only ones who were invited as far as I can tell. The AFC had too many declined invites and injuries. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 18:44, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's so bad. I haven't watched it in years. Where living in a world where two Pro Bowl quarterbacks threw 15 (Alex Smith) and 18 touchdowns (Dalton). Those numbers wouldn't even have gotten you in the Pro Bowl in the 1970's when they were throwing the ball only 25 times a game. In today's pass happy NFL those numbers are embarrassing...and they're in the damn Pro Bowl.--Yankees10 18:59, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Bridgewater last year was worse. 14 TDs, 9 INTs, lol. Also, Dalton's numbers were way better last year and he didn't make the team. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:03, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh god, I forgot Bridgewater made it. Atrocious. And somehow Stafford's 2011 (5,038, 41 touchdowns) wasn't good enough.--Yankees10 19:08, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As ironically an IP just falsely added that he did make it to his infobox.--Yankees10 19:10, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Weird lol. Also, the bad thing is people look at Pro Bowls and automatically think it's an accomplishment. It is for the players on the original ballot most of the time. But some of the replacement's don't deserve it. But when people look back at their careers, they say stuff like "Pro Bowl QB Teddy Bridgewater" and they might not realize he only made the team because 10 people declined invites or were injured. WikiOriginal-9 (talk) 19:16, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. It's a meaningless honor at this point. Maybe it meant something at one time, but now its so watered down and useless.--Yankees10 19:30, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Friendly reminder that Vince Young has as many Pro Bowls as John Riggins and Ray Nitschke combined. Lizard (talk) 20:17, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiOriginal-9: Check out LT's non-Pro Bowl season in 2003. Lizard (talk) 13:57, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That was his 100 receptions season no less.--Yankees10 18:21, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If they picked before the final game like they do now, the voters missed that 243-yarder. But here were the AFC running backs that season: Jamal Lewis who had over 2,000 yards, Priest Holmes who scored 27 rushing touchdowns, and Clinton Portis who had almost the same rushing yards as LT but played 3 less games. Also it didn't help that the Charges went 4–12. Lizard (talk) 18:32, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Advanced metrics"

Is this supposed to be football's sabermetrics? Most of this stuff is Greek to me and has no value to the average reader. That one guy's getting annoying. I always wonder what goes through an editor's mind when all their edits get reverted and they truck along continuing to make the same edits. Are they oblivious? Do they just not care? It's one of the great mysteries of the human race. Lizard (talk) 23:22, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm always amazed at that too. You think they'd get the hint. But no I guess.--Yankees10 23:38, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

i agree. advanced metrics are more sophisticated stats akin to sabermetrics. i'm personally interested in collaborating with User:Lizard the Wizard and User:Yankees10 to incorporate remarkable info into wikipedia's pro football player pages only when the information is noteworthy or newsworthy, particularly interesting to the average fan, and includes a trustworthy source reference. i see User:Lizard the Wizard and User:Yankees10 are doing an excellent job curating many of the pro football player pages. i love wikipedia and i love football stats. is there a specific protocol that i can follow to contribute to these pages while ensuring my work is not reverted by an established page curator?

i also noticed a reversion comment questioning playerprofiler as a source. i have yet to encounter an incorrect stat on one of the playerprofiler pages and believe it has become the authoritative source for many interesting stats and metrics such as catch radius, deep ball accuracy, yards after contact, etc. unlike much of sabermetrics, i believe many football metrics are straightforward concepts that are consumable and interesting to the average reader. for example, i believe many patriots fans would be interested to know that dion lewis leads the nfl in evaded tackles per touch over the last two seasons. also, for wikipedia users interested in learning more about football advanced metrics, i found this link, which lays out the origin and current source of numerous advanced stats: https://www.playerprofiler.com/terms-glossary/.-Mkelley78

I'll respond on your talk page, Mkelley. Lizard (talk) 05:00, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

Hey, i always thought pro over college? Am i wrong? If yes (any guideline?), i am sorry. (Current roster should still be the first template). Kante4 (talk) 18:07, 1 February 2017 (UTC) Kante4 (talk) 18:07, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well college comes first so that's why they are always listed as the top. As far as rosters going at the top, I've never seen that as being mandatory. It's usually the first or last depending on the article. Personally I don't care either way.--Yankees10 18:13, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that's logical. But pro is, yeah like ahead of college. That's why i thought it should be at the top. But ok if i'm wrong. Kante4 (talk) 18:15, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You're technically not wrong. I'm really just going based off what i've seen on other articles for consistency reasons, and most have it in this order. There's never been a formal discussion, as far as I know, about what order they should be in (and there probably shouldn't be considering how minor of an issue this is).--Yankees10 18:22, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. Sorry if i caused any problems. Kante4 (talk) 18:23, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Don't be. There's zero problems here. Keep up the good work with the Packers articles.--Yankees10 18:27, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Kante4 (talk) 20:47, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Are you ready?

We should do prop bets with vandalism tonight. Over/under 10 instances of a player being another player's "daddy." Over/under 3 different players being the "GOAT." How many seconds between the first big hit of the game and the player who was tackled having their death_date field filled out? Lizard (talk) 20:07, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wasn't as bad as I thought, except Malcolm Butler (American football). Single-handedly battled an idiot on that page for like 15 minutes. Lizard (talk) 06:38, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Was pleasantly surprised when I came to my watchlist after the game and the damage wasn't too bad. I thought Dan Quinn's article for sure was gonna be ugly, shocked that it didn't even have to be protected.--Yankees10 19:56, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

For this. I've been dealing with this since the name change, and before that I'd been reverting people saying Johnny Unitas' jersey is retired by the Baltimore Colts. I wish they'd take a second to actually think about how it makes no sense for the jersey of a team that no longer exists to be retired. Technically every Baltimore Colts jersey is retired. Lizard (talk) 18:07, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

He did it again but I'm too close to 3RR. Lizard (talk) 01:21, 16 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Alex Reyes

I'm not understanding your objection to having a line mentioning and linking to the other players who have had Tommy John surgery. besides Alex Reyes. If the additional information is accurate, not contentious and contains a wiki link, why do you feel the arbitrary need to remove the line, in the quote below? Could you possibly explain the reasoning or rule that has you so upset that it can't be there for those who want to see the listing? There are those who wonder if he is unusual in having it as a rookie and only 22, so the link gives them direct access to the list. That's the reason why I included it, so I hope it will explain and refute your unusual objection in smearing it ("this is silly", "still no reason to have this") as you did in your comments, which I thought was out-of-line for such an innocent addition. I would appreciate it if you would reassess your arbitrary deletion and re-add it. Thanks. "He is among many other players who have had the surgical procedure." Oye289 (talk) 05:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If I may ask, what makes his removal of said link any more arbitrary than your addition of it? If it wasn't there to begin with, doesn't that make its absence the default, and thus its inclusion "arbitrary"? Lizard (talk) 05:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Your point is illogical for a reason for anyone to ever add anything to an existing article, by your definition of arbitrary. On the other hand, deletion of something added should be only for a solidly valid reason such as inaccuracy or invalid source. Oye289 (talk) 19:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's oddly placed and really doesn't add much. Would work better in a "See also" section.--Yankees10 07:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see it the way you do as "oddly placed" or somehow a wrongful addition of information. However, I am glad to see you suggest an alternate way (that you won't delete) that I did not see, which is just another way of adding that same information that you initially objected to. Oye289 (talk) 19:17, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Teddy Bridgewater

I referenced Bridgewater's college QBR (a popular QB efficiency metric) and included a link to the QBR wiki page to provide additional context. I am investing significant time into contributing interesting information, and try to be self aware, but here I don't see where/how I err'd. I sincerely concerned about wasting time and energy while simultaneously creating work for you... Can you briefly explain why the contribution was reverted?Mkelley78 (talk) 15:13, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This stuff isn't notable that's why it's being removed. And that website is not a good source. All it is is a knockoff of Pro Football Focus and shouldn't be used.--Yankees10 17:42, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I respectfully disagree with this opinion. For example, QBR is widely used by ESPN and is considered noteworthy to many mainstream sports media members and Wikipedia users. Additionally, PlayerProfiler, like Pro Football Focus, is widely considered a trusted data source by advanced stats aficionados. I believe discrediting it as knockoff is unfair as I have been using the site for years and have yet to find unverifiable/inaccurate data. Furthermore, Pro Football Focus does not make it's data publicly available, so it cannot be referenced, and is therefore not a true comparison. For this reason, I believe PlayerProfiler deserved more mention on Wikipedia, not less. What more can I do to help to ensure that my contributions that reference PlayerProfiler are not removed in the future? Mkelley78 (talk) 16:57, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your feedback matters: Final reminder to take the global Wikimedia survey

season → annual

I'm thinking of moving all the NFL's seasonal leader lists from "List of National Football League season xxxx leaders" to "List of National Football League annual xxxx leaders." Not only because it's consistent with how the NBA and MLB do it, but it's also awkward wording. You wouldn't say "he was the NFL's season rushing yards leader five times," but you might say "he was the NFL's annual rushing yards leader five times." Figured I'd consult with you since you created a few of the pages and templates for the NFL. And then we'd need to go fix the names in those template and stuff. Lizard (talk) 20:59, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me.--Yankees10 21:36, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Kinda torn on what to do with List of National Football League rushing champions. While they are considered "rushing champions" it might be better to name it "List of National Football League annual rushing yards leaders," for consistency and recognizability. Lizard (talk) 02:52, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I'd stick with "annual" for those reasons.--Yankees10 03:04, 11 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Joe Jiménez

I think Joe Jiménez needs to be moved to Joe Jiménez (pitcher) because there's another article of a golfer with the same name but without the accent in the E. Seriesphile (talk · ctb) 00:38, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is only one baseball player with the name Joe Jiménez so pitcher isn't necessary and the other Jimenez doesn't have an accent so I disagree.--Yankees10 01:21, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, according to a policy (that I can't think of the name of), social media links are not supposed to be used in articles. Though I have seen them added and removed by numerous different people, so i'm not 100% sure.--Yankees10 19:43, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Draft info in intro

There is no need to have it in the header, you already have it in the infobox and also inside the article text. The header should give you a quick idea of the article, not the whole story Tecmo (talk) 01:41, 18 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

They apparently changed their minds and gave it to Andruzzi [2]. Belitnikoff is not listed on their website's list of winners [3] I tried finding their reasoning for changing but couldn't find anything.--Yankees10 16:49, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wow that's really weird. Lizard (talk) 17:31, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page watcher) I found a couple of pages listing them as co-winners for 2015: [4] [5] And they gave the award to each of them, per the ceremony videos at [6] and [7] (on the Andruzzi video, the host and Andruzzi both mention that there are two awardees). Why the website award page currently lists only one winner, I don't know.--Arxiloxos (talk) 18:35, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. I can't imagine they'd just outright change their mind after awarding it, unless they rescinded it, which doesn't seem to be the case. Lizard (talk) 19:26, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This stupidity is what that IP keeps adding to LT's page to try to make a point that he played for the Chargers when they were in San Diego. Check the page history over the past few months. Recent Reversions

I had a great back and forth with User:Lizard_the_Wizard on my talk page regarding the general content restrictions enacted by NFL player page curators, and I have been following those guidelines above and beyond Wikipedia's general guidelines. To my dismay, I noticed a flurry of reversions rolling back many hours of notation work. I would appreciate it you could take a look at my talk page and respond with a general explanation for the reversions.Mkelley78 (talk) 20:34, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

None of the info you add is notable and the source is not reliable.--Yankees10 20:38, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

After significant due diligence on PlayerProfiler, I concluded it is reliable. Have you read objections to its citation? Have you encountered significant inaccuracies on the site? Regarding your second objection, the information reverted such as yards after the catch is both relatable to casual sports fans and noteworthy to more sophisticated sports information consumers.

The recent reversions conflict with wikipedia's stated reversion guidelines. These guidelines ensure that editors such as myself are not demoralized and driven off the platform by having their hard work deleted by others based on acute notion of relevancy or arbitrary notion of reliability: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Revert_only_when_necessary

Communication is the key to avoiding conflict per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Edit_warring. Please engage me on my talk page before making a reversion as I am always happy to talk about the content I'm providing to ensure that it resonates as much as possible with wikipedia readers.Mkelley78 (talk) 20:57, 3 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You do a great service culling false information, opinions lacking citation, and original research from this platform, and you recently reverted one of my contributions deeming it not something the average person would find interesting. Wikipedia's mission is not to create an average information source, and as cited above, the documented standards for reverting contributions are higher than one editor's opinion of the average reader's sophistication and preferences. I will continue to strive to enhance the information on football player performances available on this platform. Mkelley78 (talk) 14:14, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have reviewed your recent reversions and concluded my contributions were noteworthy, relevant, and consumable to a wide audience. Beyond this point, your general reasoning for the original reversion conflicts with Wikipedia's stated reversion guidelines. Mkelley78 (talk) 19:05, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

non notable minor league baseball player

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I've been removing those as well. Subsections should be kept to a minimum. If a player only played for one team there's no reason to have a "Professional career" section and a team section. Rocco

The info you restored at Rocco Baldelli is misleading / inaccurate, which is why I updated it. He didn't play an official game in 2005. but was under contract with the (D)Rays and spent the season rehabbing, even played in some extended spring training games. Cutting that season out of the infobox entirely makes it look like he was out of baseball as a free agent, which was not the case. Also, he's been a coach of some sort in the Rays organization since his retirement, and the infobox should reflect that. And your edit summary made my point about his position - he played across the outfield. I'll go one further; Rocco made 28 total appearances in CF from 2006 to 2010 but 48 in RF or LF (and one at 3B with Boston, which must've been interesting). Listing him as an outfielder covers all the bases, as it were. Zeng8r (talk) 12:33, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Zeng8r: Per WP:Baseball consensus from a while back, seasons that a player did not appear in an MLB game do not appear in the infobox. Whether it be for injury, suspension, minors all season, whatever. It's the reason why Adam Wainwright's 2011 isn't there or A-Rods 2014. Adding 2010 for his coaching is misleading. We only add major league coaching jobs in the infobox and Baldelli has only done that since 2015. With regards to the position, we add the players primary position and center field was clearly his playing nearly 90% of his total games there. No reason for it not to say so in the infobox--Yankees10 17:16, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert the updated photo of Jimmy Garoppolo?

I updated the photo for Jimmy Garoppolo and you reverted the photo. Why? His old photo was from the Patriots. He is now with the 49ers. The photo I updated was him with the 49ers - why do you want to show a photo of him with the Patriots?

Because the picture of him with the Patriots is a much better picture.--Yankees10 00:46, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think his Patriots photo is very slightly better, but I do not believe it is significant enough to replace the photo. He is with the 49ers now and I think a photo of him in a 49ers uniform is what most people would expect to see on his Wiki page. I read in your user page and like you, I am neither a Patriots nor 49ers fan. So, my motivation to update this photo is not biased upon a fan perspective. Therefore, I respectfully disagree with your revert and request that you reconsider and reinstate my edit. --chipermc 01:25, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Cfh294: The onus is on the editor adding the information to prove that it belongs in the article, and that there is a consensus for it. Main characters of films should get redirect notices regardless of whether they have their own articles

Hi! Regarding this edit, it still makes sense for the character to get a redirect notice.

If the main character of a film doesn't get his/her own article, the character's name is supposed to redirect to that of the film. The redirect notice is therefore supposed to direct people interested in the character to the proper place (the article about the film). WhisperToMe (talk) 00:03, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Barrett Barnes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable individual. Fails WP:GNG and WP:BASE/N

Hello, Yankees10. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Zach Jemiola, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

Why?

Mitch Walding had played 658 minor league games at third base. And 2 at first base.

Milb.com describes him as a third baseman. They are the official site of minor league baseball. http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?player_id=605520#/career/R/hitting/2018/ALL

MLB.com describs him as a third baseman. They are the official site of minor league baseball. http://m.mlb.com/player/605520/mitch-walding?year=2018&stats=career-r-hitting-minors

Another editor already described him as they did -- as a third baseman.

Why did you change his article - which already described him as a third baseman - to call him instead an infielder? Why is your opinion here overriding that of mlb.com, milb.com, and the prior editor? Your edit summary doesnt say why. And whatever .. I think you should not override mlb.com, and should not override another editor without giving a reason that is a good one. --2604:2000:E010:1100:9848:50A0:48B3:889B (talk) 23:27, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vida Blue stats line deletion

Hello and good evening. Why did you delete Vida Blue's stats line? I added hits, runs and earned runs and changed .3 to.1 to represent 1/3 of an inning, and all seemed correct. I don't mind when something is deleted when the statistics are incorrect, but they were correct. You can go to Baseball Reference and Retrosheet to verify the additions, but I feel guilty because my additions caused someone elses work to be entirely deleted. They should be put back, just my opinion. Thank you and have a good evening.2601:581:8500:949C:29AD:44E0:620B:7E12 (talk) 00:31, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Template:MLB awards

I started adding more awards to Template:MLB awards, not realising it was for just the main/official MLB awards, which I don't think is the case for the ones I was intending to add. I have reverted my edits but I think it would be good to add some documentation to the template (even if just a sentence or two) to make the template's purpose clear. That should hopefully stop others from making the same mistake in future. I thought I'd contact you first to get your thoughts as you have been involved with this template and probably have a good idea of its intended purpose. Thanks. --Jameboy (talk) 13:21, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh and also, I wondered if we need a separate section or even a new navbox template to cover the other awards not currently listed in this template, such as the ones I was originally going to add, e.g. Edgar Martínez Award --Jameboy (talk) 13:24, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the documentation idea is a good one. As far as another section or navbox for the other awards, i'm not sure. There's a bunch of other awards that might make the template too long.--Yankees10 23:30, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Use of rollback

I see that you make very frequent use of rollback. Some of the times when you do so you are reverting obvious vandalism, but on a significant number of occasions that I have seen you are reverting good-faith edits that you disagree with. That is not in line with the criteria defined at Wikipedia:Rollback. Please make sure that you do not use rollback except in the situations where its use is sanctioned in that page, and whenever you are reverting good faith editing always give an explanation in an edit summary (or if a longer explanation is needed then on a talk page with a referral from an edit summary) no matter how strongly you think the editing you are reverting was mistaken. First off, if you're removing people from that category, you should add those people to the parent category Category:Boone family (pioneers), as each is part of that family.

Secondly, I'd like to contest the deletion of that category. There were only two votes for deletion (three if you count the admin who closed). That's not much of a durable consensus. And one guy based his deletion rationale on the category having three people when it in fact had four. Had I been aware of the discussion, participated, and voted "keep", the discussion wouldn't have been closed as delete. pbp 00:29, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of player from team list as not notable

Why did you make this deletion, asserting the player was in fact not a notable Mets minor leaguer. https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=New_York_Mets_minor_league_players&diff=870143437&oldid=870106684

As the text you deleted stated, both MLB Pipeline and MiLB.com have named him as the top Mets organizational minor leaguer at catcher. That certainly shows him to be a notable Mets minor leaguer in their view. Why is the Yankees10 view more important than their view?

Please restore him.

As to whether there is a redirect or not, I don't think it is the most important thing, but if someone wants to make it a redirect once you have restored it they will be able to do that.

I don't think your view here should be more important than that of MLB Pipeline and MiLB.com. --2604:2000:E010:1100:4DC6:EF46:3E54:91D4 (talk) 08:48, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Players that go on these pages need sourcing that suggest they are close or at least somewhat close to being notable enough for an article. It's not just for any random minor leaguers.-- Yankees10 17:54, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You refer to "any random minor leaguers." But that does not apply to this minor leaguer. As the sourcing indicates, and as I pointed out above, this minor leaguer has just been named by MLB Pipeline as the top Mets organizational leader at catcher. In addition, he has just been named by MiLB.com as the top Mets organizational leader at catcher. That means - both consider him, of all the catchers in the Major League team's minor league system, the very top catcher. That brings him out of the category of "random" that you write about. And puts him in the top tier.

Also - your redirect comment in your deletion edit summary misses the fact that IPs can and I understand regularly do have a normal "redirect requested" process. That's not a reason for you to delete the catcher. Even though you gave it as a reason in your edit summary.

Please restore what you deleted. If not, please open up discussion at a baseball talk board on wp, pointing to this discussion. So others can speak about whether they think it is right for you to substitute your personal (one editor) view, for the views that were footnoted to MiLB.com and MLB Pipeline. I don't think the view of any one editor should be more important than the views of footnoted respectable sources that are cited. 2604:2000:E010:1100:4DC6:EF46:3E54:91D4 (talk) 18:22, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Justin Bour

Hi Yankees10. Sorry to have upset you. Can we move past the reverts and focus on the discussions? This looks like a WP:CONLIMITED problem, where the template was created without regard to the larger consensus. Links should provide unique information per ELNO#1, and links should remain out of an article until there is consensus to include them per WP:ELBURDEN. Reverting when I have no idea if there is a consensus or not [13], certainly doesn't further any consensus-making. --Ronz (talk) 02:34, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Oh believe me i'm not upset I just find this ridiculous and a waste of time. I'll wait until others chime in at the WP:baseball talk page before reverting again, though I see no logical reasoning for you removing them again.-- Yankees10 02:39, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I used to find these disputes ridiculous as well, but I've learned that Wikipedia's such a big place that we cannot expect other editors will be familiar with the general consensus in all areas, or even most.
As I said, CONLIMITED problem. There's lots of templates like these that need cleanup. --Ronz (talk) 02:48, 30 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring on Tommy Holmes

Would you be able to explain why you appear to be edit warring in a content dispute on Tommy Holmes? TheDragonFire (talk) 02:28, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The explanation is in the second edit summary. Final date is for regular season only. Appears to be resolved at this point.-- Yankees10 02:36, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps this was unclear, but I was asking you to provide an explanation of why your five reverts fell under an exemption to the edit warring policy, not whether your edits are justifiable, which as you would well know is not a excuse. That you are now at 3 reverts in 24-hours and the other user has not reverted for 3 hours, does not mean the matter has been resolved. I now additionally need you to explain why your reverts met the criteria for use of rollback. TheDragonFire (talk) 04:08, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I was correcting false information. The first use of rollback was out of assumption that it was vandalism because things like this are commonly changed to false info. After seeing the user add a reference I explained in the edit summary why it was reverted. The next uses of of the rollback were admittedly out of frustration that the person kept changing it. There was clearly better methods of going about this issue and unfortunately I didn't take them.-- Yankees10 05:01, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your deletions

Hello. I noticed you have removed from the intros of various MLB players the fact that they are the career active leaders in major league baseball in various categories. Like at bats per home run.

In your personal view, from some of your deletions where you left edit summaries (other times you deleted without any explanation, like it was vandalism, which obviously it was not, and even worse you used rollback tools to do that which is a no no), you seem to have the subjective view that the additions are not (in your opinion) "intro worthy." I disagree. They to me are worthy of a lede.

But at the very least, if you think that, why not just move the info to the 2018 section of each article?

That it seems to me would do less damage to the article and wikipedia than deleting it .. since your complaint was not about whether it is of interest to readers, but intro worthy. --2604:2000:E010:1100:A1C9:3376:1282:532D (talk) 18:32, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you're going to add any active leader info in the intro it should stick to traditional numbers like home runs or stolen bases, etc. I'm sorry but being third in stolen base percentage for example is not something that the general reader will care about, therefore it's not intro worthy. As far as adding to the body, "As of's" generally sit their for years without updating so that's why I generally don't support even adding it to the body.-- Yankees10 18:45, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yankees10 - thanks for restoring my comment and answering it. (I didn't want to edit war w the editor who delete it - but he's now following me around and deleting my talk page comments elsewhere and reverting my appropriate edits and leaving warnings I can't understand the basis for on my talk page.) On the substance, I can understand how we have different views on the edges, though I think that the fact that someone for example is Number 1 of all current active MLB players in stolen base percentage is perfectly good information for the lede. More relevant than what we put in, actually .. differentiating whether they were picked in round three or round four of a draft, and whether it was the 2011 draft or the 2012 draft. It seems to me that a casual reader would be far more interested in learning -- wow! - he has the best stolen base percentage of the hundreds of current ballplayers, in his entire career!. But I guess we can have different views. I would hope that if it is is not in the lede at least it could be in the body, for the same reasons, while I do see the possibility that it can stay there for years (more likely, than it is in the lede, but you don't like it in the lede). I don't think deleting it entirely is making wikipedia better. Just the opposite. Is there a compromise? Thanks. And again - thanks for restoring the post that the drive by editor deleted for reasons I cannot understand. Sadly, he's just getting worse now .. 2604:2000:E010:1100:A1C9:3376:1282:532D (talk) 21:43, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Crowder

Good afternoon, I created the article Tom Crowder, who was one of the best special teams players in the history of the University of Arkansas. He spent 2 years in the NFL mainly on the practice squad. Although he was promoted one year to the regular roster, he was not activated to play in the NFL. He also played in NFL Europe. The problem is that because he never played one game in the NFL, the article was deleted.

I wanted to ask you if there is another way that somebody else can push the creation of this article ?, maybe they will have better luck. I can provide all of the content so they can review and make the changes required. Regards Tecmo (talk) 23:50, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the suggestion, but I'm not sure I have an argument to dispute the deletion. They said that a football player needs to play at least one NFL game or have something that distinguished him in college. This player was not an All-American.Tecmo (talk) 02:50, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Smoky Burgess

Since you've been around a while, I won't template you. Who do you think you are that you can repeatedly (three times now) change information contrary to a reliable source (New York Times), and then LIE about what's in the source? Here is a direct quotation from the NYT article: "Forrest (Smoky) Burgess, who formerly held the major league career record for pinch-hits, died Sunday at Rutherford Hospital." NOWHERE in the article is there a reference to Asheville. And if you will look at the hospital's website [14], you will clearly see that it is located in Rutherfordton. Now, I assume that this settles the matter, because if it doesn't, we'll be discussing edit warring, unsourced edits, and misrepresenting a source in an edit summary at WP:ANI. In fact, you need to revert your edit and get it right or we'll just go ahead and begin the discussion. I'll give you 24 hours. And since this WP:OWN issue seems to be a pattern for you, some of us will be following your edits for a while. And please. Don't try to lie your way out of this. You've been caught red-handed; cut your losses and move on. If you had mistakenly made the edit ONCE, I would have fixed it and left the issue alone. But three reverts and a lie is unacceptable. What you didn't count on is that someone who actually knew Smokey might visit his article. You have 24 hours to fix the article, and don't claim in the edit summary that it was an honest mistake. It was a lie. Thank you. 75.182.115.183 (talk) 22:54, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't lie about anything. Baseball Reference and Baseball Almanac say Asheville. I'd reply to the rest of this nonsense, but I'm not gonna waste my fucking time.-- Yankees10 23:19, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you lied. You didn't bother to look at the NYT article, which I repeatedly pointed out stated Rutherfordton, and you never cited any other source. Fix the article. I suggest that you not take your "fucking time." I'm serious. I'll be happy to go ahead and take this to ANI. You can easily save face in this situation. Just quietly fix the article, and we'll be done with it assuming you don't get caught in any other misbehavior. But if you want to be stubborn about this, you may regret it. 75.182.115.183 (talk) 23:30, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This is unreal. I have no idea why you are so worked up about this minor thing. You absolutely need to read Wikipedia:Assume good faith and Wikipedia:Civility. Maybe even read them twice because this is just ridiculously over the top.-- Yankees10 00:26, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Edit warring, repeatedly reverting for no reason, and lying are not a "minor thing." I'm quite familiar with AGF and Civility. You lost those privileges when you repeatedly reverted a legitimate edit THREE TIMES despite being repeatedly told that the edit was properly sourced. What you may find is "over the top" is when you must defend yourself at ANI. As I said, this can be very simple, unless you decide to dig your heels in and not budge. I don't plan to repeatedly go back and forth here. I've made it quite clear what you can do, and doing it will be a very simple process for you. All you have to do is simply revert your edit to the properly sourced information that was already in the article. So if you have nothing of substance to add beyond your defensiveness, this is my final message to you. You now have 22 hours. 75.182.115.183 (talk) 00:37, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Yankees10,

I just want to remind you that you do not own the Thames article. You reverted well sourced content twice based upon your personal opinion. Reverting is not for content disputes, and it is also not for you to be the final arbiter of content on that article. Lubbad85 () 02:23, 24 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I never claimed ownership on anything so don't start with that. You're arbitrary "as of this random meaningless date" stat line is not encyclopedic and will be outdated the next time he plays in a game. I would argue this info violates WP:NOTNP. Edits to Cubs player pages

Greetings. I noticed that you deleted several edits that I made to recent Cubs player pages. I’ve found that a number of Cubs pages, especially for relief pitchers, need updating. While we may disagree about what is notable or not, this is a project I would like to take on. As such, I need some leeway to make gradual updates to each profile.

My updates may appear piecemeal, but I can’t do them all at once.

If you have any suggestions on how to improve the quality of the edits, please advise. But I ask that they not be deleted wholesale.

Thank you. Tpburnham (talk) 23:45, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As an additional note, I concede the “as of” information should not be included. Tpburnham (talk) 23:51, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The only thing that I don't find notable is the "as of" info. Everything else seemed ok.-- Yankees10 01:46, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proper information for Player intro paragraph

Hello again. Regarding your undoing my deletion of a lone ASG appearance in Brad Brach’s intro, please elaborate on your standard here. I agree that an ASG appearance should be discussed in the body of the article (in the relevant season), but a lone appearance carries insufficient weight for a player’s intro. Other than basic player info (name, birth, position, teams), I believe the only information compelling enough for the intro is perennial all-star status, titles, sufficiently important records, and major non-sports related news

Is there a template on what should (not) be included in an athlete’s intro paragraph? Thank you. Tpburnham (talk) 03:57, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The intro's purpose is to sum up a persons key info. Making an All-star is a pretty important thing. There's not much reason for it not to be there.-- Yankees10 04:04, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why

I'm really confused on why you reverted my edits on Trevor Siemian for no reason, it was more recent it was more clear because he didn't have his helmet on? Sorry if that sounds mean it's just I felt like it had no reasoning Scribbley (talk) 02:58, 7 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Larry Dierker Page Update

Back on May 23, you reverted some edits I made to Larry Dierker's Page, stating that Wikipedia is not an ad. I definitely don't want to post that information as an ad, but I do want to communicate that he has pursued other things in his later career. Do you have any recommendations on what content should be removed that would make it seem like it isn't an ad? I've reviewed the guidelines and I'm still not 100% sure. Here's the original content:

In 2017, Dierker teamed up with Benjamin Scardello of Houston, Texas to promote over 500 original and unique Baseball Stories Dierker had researched, written and recorded between 1982 and 1995. The stories contain information starting from the early days of baseball around 1900.

The two agreed to a digital entrepreneur endeavor to build a Podcast Website, www.49sfastball.com, converting the Baseball Stories into easily accessible Podcasts. The stories include a wide range of subjects and little known “back story” narratives about Players, Stadiums, Records, Promos and Unusual Events, Pitching, Openers and Debuts, Hitting, and All-Star Games.

The Podcasts can be heard on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, AnyPod, Stitcher, Tune In, and Soundcloud.

In addition to the Podcasts, other relevant baseball information is available on the website including, Current Blog Articles, a Vast MLB Resources Section linking visitors to all of the top baseball websites, including colligate baseball. There’s even a “Contests and Prizes” section where participants can win MLB Baseball memorabilia.

Podcast Website Address: www.49sFastball.com Content: Iconic Baseball Podcast Stories Library & More Current Podcast Inventory: ~500 Historical Perspective: from the 1900s to 1995 Copyright: 49sFastball

As a co-founder with Scardello of 49sFastball.com, Dierker continues to provide new content for the website and is an active speaker, spokesperson, and proactive with philanthropic causes. Both Dierker and Scardello look to advance and promote the interest in our National Past Time by providing a look at baseball from a different time and a unique perspective.

Deletion discussion about Daniel Camarena

Hello, Yankees10,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Onel5969 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Daniel Camarena should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Daniel Camarena.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Just out of curiosity, how many pages are on your watchlist? I feel like I have a lot but you probably have triple or quadruple my number. Eagles 24/7 (C) 15:39, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wow I haven't checked the number in years. Its around 6,800. I can't even believe it's that high now. It's mostly a mixture of all the pages I created and a bunch of old baseball players.-- Yankees10 17:21, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a little surprised by that, my count just hit 7,000. I'm thinking it's a lot of IP talk pages from making sure to warn every vandal out there haha. Keep up the good work bud. Eagles 24/7 (C) 18:04, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hits don't go in the infobox?

Look at the infoboxes:

[15] [16] [17] [18] [19]

Those top two guys have 3,000 of course it's going to go in the infobox. The others have over 2,000 which has been treated as a unofficial minimum tho there's never been a consensus for it as far as I know. Please read Wikipedia:WikiProject Baseball/Player style advice.-- Yankees10 23:04, 11 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to nominate the Frank Robinson page as a Good Article? I only have time for small edits like proofreading and I haven't really worked on his article nor do I have enough wiki experience. I just noticed the page had been nominated way back in 2006 and it has seemed to be improved quite a bit since then. You're one of the baseball editors I know of, so that's what led me here to ask. Reverted edit

It was posted on the Seahawks official page therefore it is not just a rumour. Also, just because you're an alternate doesn't mean you didn't make the Pro Bowl. For the 2018 Pro Bowl, Jared Goff was only an alternate, yet that year is still listed on his page. Alwaysright987 (talk) 04:58, 18 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Dhalps23 here. Thanks for your help with Kyler Murray edit... I added the reference for Devin Duvernay being his cousin. It’s on Devin’s Texas Football page, on Devin’s NFL Draft profile, in many news articles and etc so I didn’t initially add it thinking it might actually be common knowledge? I was clearly wrong... I also updated it to say he “was” on Texas football team instead of “is” on the team. If there’s anything else that needs to be changed/updated let me know and feel free to help out! Thanks my friend!

Subjectivity: MLB; big league(s); major league(s)

I have learned from you. I cannot figure out how to successfully approach any level of pleasing your seemingly random requests. Are you a writer (of any notoriety)? Allowing that you are and given your pre-existing knowledge that we are to alternate between proper names or pronouns (you’ve no doubt seen my past citations for he-he-he’s, etc.), what breaks from protocol in the course of a written piece by alternating MLB, big league(s), and Major league(s)? I don’t know if I’ve ever shared my C.V. with you, but it’s extensive. I’ll just try to stay here on the bottom rung of the ladder and pray for you to shine in whatever capacity you choose. I’ll choose my battles and maintain my good humor. But I’ll do my best to enlighten you as to why I do anything I do, anytime. —Your loyal subject,
