Education

Broomfield School is a co-educational state primary school for Year 1 to 8 students,[1][2] with a roll of 126 as of August 2024.[3]

The school has a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.[1]

The school students are split into five classes, into the following general arrangement: Tawa for New Entrants to Year 1, Kowhai for Year 1 to 2, Rimu for Year 3 to 4, and Matai for Year 5 to 6, and Nikau for Year 7 to 8.[1]

The schools colours are royal blue and gold. The school has moved to a non compulsory uniform; the shirt is royal blue with gold trim.[1]

The school has a modern Administration and Library building, modelled on the original school house that used to sit on the land. It also has four classrooms, a swimming pool and changing rooms, and a sports storage shed.[1]
