Pre-season and friendlies
[edit]On 27 March, Tottenham announced their first pre-season friendly, against six-time European champions Bayern Munich as part of the "Visit Malta Cup".[39] A first trip to Japan for 33 years was later confirmed, with a friendly against Vissel Kobe as part of the J.League World Challenge.[40] In May, Spurs confirmed they would also travel to South Korea as part of its pre-season tour of Asia, to compete in the Coupang Play Series 2024 against Bayern Munich.[41] Before the forementioned tours, an away fixture against Queens Park Rangers was added to the schedule.[42] On 29 May, a fifth pre-season friendly was confirmed, against Heart of Midlothian.[43] All of these friendlies, however, were preceded by a behind closed doors friendly, in which Spurs defeated Cambridge United 7–2, in a game that was played at the team's Hotspur Way training complex.[44]
