William Bennett (born May 31, 1953) is an American former ice hockey left winger.
Career
[edit]Bennett played 31 games in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins and Hartford Whalers between 1978 and 1980. After leaving the NHL, he played with the Wichita Wind, Hershey Bears, and Fort Wayne Komets. He was inducted into the Rhode Island Hockey Hall of Fame in 2024.
Personal life
[edit]Bennett's father, Harvey Bennett Sr., two of his brothers, Curt Bennett and Harvey Bennett Jr., also played in the NHL. Brother, John Bennett, played in the WHA and brother, Jim Bennett, played in the IHL.
