Danielle L. Jensen (born August 22, 1986) is a Canadian author, She is best known for the Malediction, The Bridge Kingdom, Dark Shores and Saga of the Unfated series of novels, alongside standalone novels like Stolen Songbird (2014), The Bridge Kingdom (2018), Dark Shores (2019) and A Fate Inked in Blood (2024).
Early life and education
[edit]Jensen pursued her education in was born in Calgary, Alberta, where her passion for literature flourished. Her teachers recognized her talent for writing and frequently encouraged her to participate in literary competitions. Jensen's imaginative essays and short stories garnered attention, earning her several accolades during her primary and secondary education. This early recognition bolstered her self-esteem and motivated her to further develop her writing mentors.[1]
Career
[edit]Jensen's Malediction trilogy debuted with Stolen Songbird in 2014, introducing readers to a unique blend of romance and fantasy. This series continued with the gripping Hidden Huntress in 2015 and concluded with the enchanting Warrior Witch in 2016.
In 2018, Jensen launched The Bridge Kingdom, starting with the eponymous novel, with The Traitor Queen and The Inadequate Heir following in 2020 and 2021, respectively. The culmination of this saga, The Endless War, was released in 2023.
Jensen's Dark Shores series, beginning with Dark Shores in 2019, continuing with the sequel Dark Skies in 2020 and further expanding the narrative in Gilded Serpent (2021).
Anticipation is high for Jensen's release, A Fate Inked in Blood, set to debut in 2024 as part of the Saga of the Unfated. This novel promises to bring fresh excitement to her ever-growing collection of fantasy literature.
