Prof. Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon is a meritorious professor of Surgery and the Vice Chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University..[1][2] He is a recipient of Sitara e Imtiaz[3]. He is a general Surgeon with Special Interest in Colorectal and anal Surgery[4][5]
Early life
[edit]Prof Dr. Amjad Siraj Memon was born to a sindhi family. He was educated in Karachi in Habib Public School. He completed his MBBS from Dow Medical College. He did his fellowship in surgery from Edenborough[6].
Career
[edit]He started as assistant professor at civil hospital and ascended through the tenure ladder to professor of surgery and head of department of surgery. He was later awarded Professor meritorious of Surgery, the highest academic honor.[6]
He was appointed as principal of Dow Medical College in April 2019[7]
He was appointed at the vice chancellor of Jinnah Sindh Medical University in March 2022[1]
