Concerned Veterans for America describes itself as "veterans from every branch of uniformed services and every conflict from World War II to the Global War on Terror" and claims, "CVA delivers people-empowering solutions rooted in liberty-based principles to tackle issues Americans face. By elevating veterans’ unique perspectives and trusted leadership, CVA builds engaged communities of veterans and activists equipped to inspire action, amplify concerned voices, and help improve American lives.[1]
CVA is a Koch astroturf organization within Americans for Prosperity.[2], its director is John Byrnes, [3], a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Army National Guard.
In 2024, President-elect Donald Trump nominated former executive Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.
