Dobrosav Zdravković (Serbian Cyrillic: Добросав Здравковић, c. 1782 - after 1848) was the head of the Crna Reka region[1]in Karađorđe's Serbia.
Biography
[edit]Milija Zdravković had two sons, the oldest Milosav (who, according to Mateja Nenadović, took over his father's title of Knyaz of the Resava Principality of the Ćuprija Nahiya),[2] and Dobrosav.[3]
Dobrosav's father Milija had him homeschooled by a priest and scribe before sending them to a college in Sremski Karlovci, where he graduated in Liberal Arts[4].
Milija Zdravković and the brother of Miloasav and Marjan Zdravković, all four were volunteers in the fight for the liberation of Serbia from the Ottoman yoke in 1804. They held important posts as vojvode in Karađorđe's Serbia. Dobrosav, in particular, headed of the Crna Reka region[5].
Dobrosav survived the First and the Second Serbian Uprising, like his brothers, and after became both a successful merchant and municipal administrator[6].In 1827 from Kragujevac to his brother Milosav Zdravković-Resavac, Dobrosav writes: "I have been suffering for two years now and I am keeping my illness a secret... which I got from a beast in Mitrovica...."[7] He overcame the illness, and went on to become the head of the Kruševac District.
