Irrigation Engineering is an engineering field that combines various engineering and science disciplines to artificially supply water to plants. The various disciplines that make up Irrigation engineering include but are not limited to Civil, Agricultural, Electrical, Mechanical, environmental engineering and computer science to improve the efficacy of crop production. Just like most engineering disciplines, it's an application of Mathematics, physics, chemistry and biological sciences[1], to efficiently supply and manage water resources in agriculture for improved crop production.
