Samuel Best is an author and founder of multiple literary magazines.
History of works
[edit]Best's first book, Shop Front[1], published by Fledgling Press[2], was published on March 24, 2014[3], and has been made available both physically, in paperback form, and digitally, through Amazon's Kindle service[3]. The book was received positively, having an aggregate rating of 3.84/5.00 on Goodreads[3]. Hunger is another work by Best[4], first released on September 5, 2023[4]. Similarly to his debut work, it is has been made available both in paperback and through Amazon Kindle. The book has been received positively by audiences, having a 3.91/5.00 on Goodreads[4].
Other endeavors
[edit]Best is also responsible for the creation of two literary magazines[2]. Best created Octavius which involved more than 150 writers sold-out three print collections between 2011 and 2016[2]. During the lockdown onset by the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded Aloe, which raised funds towards the helping of healthcare workers in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has performed in various book festivals.
Life
[edit]Outside of literature, Best is an English teacher in the east-end of Glasgow[5].
