Samuel Best is an author and founder of multiple literary magazines.

History of works

Best's first book, Shop Front[1], published by Fledgling Press[2], was published on March 24, 2014[3], and has been made available both physically, in paperback form, and digitally, through Amazon's Kindle service[3]. The book was received positively, having an aggregate rating of 3.84/5.00 on Goodreads[3]. Hunger is another work by Best[4], first released on September 5, 2023[4]. Similarly to his debut work, it is has been made available both in paperback and through Amazon Kindle. The book has been received positively by audiences, having a 3.91/5.00 on Goodreads[4].

Other endeavors

Best is also responsible for the creation of two literary magazines[2]. Best created Octavius which involved more than 150 writers sold-out three print collections between 2011 and 2016[2]. During the lockdown onset by the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded Aloe, which raised funds towards the helping of healthcare workers in both Ireland and the United Kingdom. Additionally, he has performed in various book festivals.

Life

Outside of literature, Best is an English teacher in the east-end of Glasgow[5].
