James Igohe is a Tanzanian Olympic middle-distance runner. He represented his country in the men's 1500 meters at the 1984 Summer Olympics, recording times of 3:39.62 in the first heat and 3:41.57 in the semifinals.[1]

James Igohe worked for the Tanzania Immigration Department as an athlete. Through his running career, he secured a scholarship to the University of Texas at El Paso, along with other athletes such as Alfredo Shahanga and Zakaria Barie Bura. However, after moving to El Paso, Igohe abandoned his athletic career and did not return to Tanzania. He is currently employed in New Jersey as a caretaker for intellectually disabled children.[citation needed]
